I'll agree to disagree with your comment. I think the main point of this series is that, characters like Toh,…
I understand your comment but I also understand why Toh, Jao and Daisy are like that. In Thailand and especially in SouthEast Asia, feminie guys are often outcasts of society and made fun of or looked down upon. So them being as openly gay or feminie as they are right now is incredibly brave considering how much sh*t they probably face daily (though the show doesn't really show it rn). Considering how much stuff they probably go through, you can't blame them when they're more insecure and meek conpared to masculine guys like Nuea, Sky and Intouch who I'm sure face difficulties too regarding their sexualities but clearly not as much. You can see how many times they've been hurt when you look at their rules for crushes.
Also just because they resemble the stereotype of what LGBTQ+ people are like doesn't mean they're faking it. It could just be their personalities. Just like the stereotype that Asians are smart. Just because it's a stereotype doesn't mean Asians can't be smart (saying this as an Asian who got into college at 16). If you, a person who isn't like that stereotype has heard multiple slurs related to it, imagine how much people like Toh, Jao and Daisy face daily from both homophobic/transphobic people and people from the LGBTQ+ community who think they're not being genuine like you.
And are you saying that feminie guys/gays are doing more bad than good just by being in the LGBTQ+ community just because they act more feminie than others and therefore help support the arguement that gays aren't actual men? Because that's literally what feminie guys have been dealing with for years. There's nothing wrong being feminie and that doesn't determine whether someone's a real man or not. So if you're going around telling feminie guys they should act more masculine so that people think they're more of a man and therefore have better images of the LGBTQ+ community, you're just as bad as those homophobic people who tell feminie guys to man up even if you did it with good intentions.
I'm not quite sure why they added it. Maybe it's to show Nuea's patience with Toh or Toh's childishness?
I guess that makes sense. Maybe it's because Toh technically hasn't told him the extent of his hoarding and stalking habits? The show's showing that Nuea doesn't get mad easily when it comes to Toh and his habits will mostly likely not affect how Nuea feels about him? That their relationship probably won't change?
A lot of people seem to be confused about Daisy's preferred pronouns and whether she's trans or not. Daisy is trans and her preferred pronouns are she/her. This isn't just because she was trans in the novel since other people have pointed out that the series is an adpation and things can change (a very reasonable point btw). Daisy (in the series) uses female pronouns to refer to herself and calls herself a lady multiple times. There's also a video made by the company that's in charge of the series where they tell you facts about Daisy (the series' version): https://youtu.be/Un7JgLvpxTE In Thailand, there's currently no laws protecting trans people and the Thai governemnt has not acknownleged trans people so Daisy can not do anything about other people not calling her by her preferred pronouns. She also has to use the men bathrooms, male dorms, etc which might be why some of you were confused. You'll see that other than Daisy herself and her close friends, no one else really uses her preferred pronouns when referring to her because there aren't currently any trans rights in Thailand. That's why Touch using her preferred pronouns was a big deal for her.
I'm like 90% sure Daisy's supposed to be trans. She identifies as a female but hasn't had gender-affirming surgery so she's still technically a guy down there. Because Thai doesn't have any laws protecting trans people, even though she indetifies as a female, she still has to use the men bathroom, male dorms, etc. Plus the Thai government doesn't acknowledge trans people yet so unlike in other places, there's no consequences for others when they don't respect her and she can't make others call her by her preferred pronouns (she can't even call them transphobic). That's why the only people who call Daisy by her pronouns are usually herself and her close friends. So when Intouch respected her and called her by her preferred pronouns, it was a big deal for her.
Daisy's supposed to be trans I think. She identifies as a female but hasn't had gender-affirming surgery so she's still technically a guy down there. Because Thai doesn't have any laws protecting trans people, even though she indetifies as a female, she still has to use the men bathroom, male dorms, etc. Plus the Thai government doesn't acknowledge trans people yet so unlike in other places like America, there's no real consequences (not even someone telling them off for being transphobic) for others when they don't respect or call her by her preferred pronouns. That's why the only people who call Daisy by her pronouns are usually herself and her close friends. So when Intouch respected her and called her by her preferred pronouns, it was a big deal for her and she was so touched by him.
The rooftop scene when Ren and Gorya was talking about what happened in France and the sketch book turning the…
Exactly, that scene was so emotional. Ren was obviously the better choice. He was sensitive, kind, smart, considerate, loyal, patient and basically the best boyfriend you could ask for. He was always there for her when she was in trouble. He went out of his way multiple times to help her even though he would be put in a bad position if he did so. Even when he told ML he would back down, I feel like he only did it because he saw how happy FL was talking about ML and was thinking about her feelings instead of his. I really wish he got his happy ending. He was honestly the best character and one of the only reasons I kept watching the show.
Although, I don't agree with your comment, I can see why they might upset some people. I can see your point. As…
Hang in there! For me, it got better after the first 3 epsiodes (that or I got used to it enough to find humor in it haha). I hope it gets better for you too and you end up loving it as much as the rest of us do
I feel so bad for Ren. Even though I knew he wouldn't get his happy ending with the FL, Ren was such a good guy. They had a healthy relationship and he supported her in basically every way possible. Team Ren all the way! If It was me, I'll choose Ren without hesitation
I'm thinking two or three commenters here are family or friends of the cast/crew.I'm always suspicious of peopel…
Lol, I guess I'm guilty because I've been telling people to at least go watch the 5th epsiode before deciding whether to drop or not. I'm not in the crew or a family member though (I wish). I just really like the series because it was so unexpected that I would like it in the first place. I was like you, I really hated the trailer. I try to keep up with all the BLs airing though so I watched the first epsiode and it took me a month just to get through it because I just couldn't handle the second hand embrassment. I was going to drop it but a friend of mine kept begging me to continue + I saw some really awesome reviews and video edits. I have the same three epsiode rule as the user abover and usually stop watching after that but I just really wanted to see the train wreck so I kept watching the 4th epsiode. After that I couldn't stop and just binge watched the whole show. I was so surprised at how much I like it especially considering all the issues in the series and how much I hated it in the begining. I do hope you give it a couple chances though, it might surprise you like it did me.
OK, made it through the first ep. Only started FFing near the end when I couldn't stand the screeching anymore.Best…
Although, I don't agree with your comment, I can see why they might upset some people. I can see your point. As a pan sexual myself, I do like to act flamboyant sometimes when I'm feeling myself. It does look a lot like what straight people might think LGBTQ+ people do but I'm not putting on an act. It's a part of me that I do for myself when I'm feeling good about myself. Anyway, the show's kinda supposed to be like that in the start. They're supposed to act almost cartoonish and as fictional as they can be. As the epsiodes go on, you see their flaws, worries and insecures that make them human. You feel happy, sad, angry and worried for them as you start to relate to them. They're still very flamboyant and feminie though (just a warning) but it isn't as overwhelming or annoying as it was at first. Plus all the characters do grow and have character development. I hope you through the first 3 episodes to see that with us.
Could someone tell me why the next epsiode is airing 23rd instead of coming Satudary (the 16th)? I thought they released the epsiodes every week on Saturday...
Does it getter better? Cause im on ep 1 and the stalker part is a but weird
It gets better after the first 2-3 epsiodes. I recommend getting through those first and watching until around epsiode 5 before deciding whether you want to continue watching it or not.
