If you miss Signal, I would definetly recommend it, it has similar vibes, especially the OST since it's the same composer, but I have to admit, Signal is still better for me. The cases were more interesting, more emotional and it helped the plot move.
Episode 8 was, well... intense. Seriously I'm having a hard time now with breathing. So many thing were 'officially' revealed to us. But I still have doubts with some things, or better to say, I don't want this to be that simple, I want something else behind it.
First: Yeon Seok, somehow I can't believe that she really died in a car crash, maybe she got injured, but I can't accept that she died.
Second: The Serial Killer. Same here, I just can't believe that the high-school boy they showed us, also as the adult version, is the serial killer 30 years ago. I mean that man they showed us killed people, but I don't think he was the one that commited the murders 30 years ago, there has to be something else behind it, or else it would be too simple, and I don't think it's like that, I hope it's not that simple cause I really want to watch a mindblowing drama, not one where they already showed us the killer halfway.
About other things, I knew from the beginning that the professor was our main leads daughter (which is why I laughed so much at the scenes where he shipped her with Kim Sun Jae :D), so that wasn't that much of a surprise for me, but it was nice seeing that she has the whistle.
Kim Sun Jae, I'm sooo sooo happy that he knows ho Park Kwang Ho is, so now they are working together, which they desperately need.
This episode (4) was... Good. Really good, It had a well pacing, some minor things were cleared (why Han Se Ju hated Baek Tae Min, why Jeon Seol quit being a vet etc.) Yoo Jin Oh (the way he found this name for himself made it soo easy for me to remember his name :D) finally had some scenes, and they were awesome, I'm really curious about him. I don't know why are they implying that he is bad, or that he will be the villain, but I really like him. He is either a time-traveler that came from the past through the typewriter, or which I think is the more possible theory, he is the soul of the typewriter.
The OST is killing me, I like this drama more and more.
Edit: OMG I just realized: 'Ghost' Writer yes he is the soul or better to say Ghost of the typewriter.
"Let's go. I'll treat you to something delicious." Me: Hmm I wonder what they're gonna…
I'm just surprised that they included it so well with the story actually, like it's not so random like in Goblin where he saved lives with a sandwich, they actually made a story behind it, so I'm not as bothered by it as I am with other dramas.
80???? Seriously? 80 Episodes???? I mean the trailers and everything look all amazing, but I'm not sure if I can watch 80 Episodes. And If I do I will probably watch it while it airs.
I think subway PPL really works though:D
I'm now almost going every week to subway, and last week I saw a Korean Mother-Daughter and I think they were tourists because the girl ordered in english and not german, so I thought the PPL in dramas really work when they even go to subway in a foreign country :D
I can't believe I finished this in 9 days. 9 DAYSSSS!!!!!! 58 EPISODES!!!! I'm crazy and this was just waayyyy too addictive. Don't start this if you have a busy life right now, cause it totally destroys it.
First of all let me say this, I never, never, never thought this would get an happy ending for the first couple and an open one for the second one (I will read that book about them don't worry :D). And I'm happy with both, cause when I started this I was almost sure that it would get an tragic everyone dies no one is happy ending, so this was a pleasant surprise.
Why 8.5? Well 8.5 is a good rating from me, it means I enjoyed it very much, but had some things I didn't like that much. It means the same here, I really really enjoyed this drama (which is why I completed it in 9 DAYS). The romance in this drama with both couples were just A+. Totally loved both ships. So my rating fully goes to them, cause honestly the story, everything else was not as good as the romance in it. Towards the end I started to skip the story in the Ghost realm, and I realized I don't pay attention to other scenes that doesn't include the pairs. So looking at that 8.5 is really a good rating.
Who I hated most? Not Xian Nu, not Su(ck) Jin not it was that uncapable, idiot, prejudiced and stupid Heavenly Lord. I don't understand why Dong Hua gave up his throne to that a**.
Would I recommend it? Only if you have a lot of free time so you can actually afford being that addicted to it. But let me say this, it has a lot of filler episodes, and it's really a long and tough journey.
I realized, this drama is either a hit or miss. Either you love it from the first episodes and love the OTP with their chemistry, or you find it boring.
For me it's a total hit, Let's see how it will end. I hope it will have an happy ending cause I really really want the OTP to end up together alive.
Princess Wei Young more like 50 ways to frame Wei young, and I blame everything on Wei Young, oh and btw her real name isn't even Wei Young.
At the beginning I kinda liked how our heroine was smart and could handle all the schemes and could clap back, but the more I watched, the more ridicioulus it got. I mean if someone has been framed for the 30th time you should maybe be more skeptical and not get furious and try to punish that girl (this goes for the father and the emperor, both useless)
At some point, it just got too repetitive, and I just couldn't handle all the ridicoulus scenes anymore, so I just wanted to watch it fast to finish it.
Ok it was not a terrible watch, I have to give that much credit, which is why I also gave it an 8, it still entertained me. But I think the last 10-14 were unnecessary. I liked the final tho :D
I'm still not getting the appeal, 9 hours of my life in.
It took me 20 episodes, but after that I just fell in love with it. I want to rewatch it one day so that I can understand what happened in the first 20 episodes .D
There should also be tattoos in there. Especially the one with cruel city where the whole back was blurred. Poor make-up artist tho. His/her efforts just got blurred out.
serious question time: were widescreen flashbacks always so abundant? After Goblin I'm seeing it everywhere.
well I don't know where else you saw it but, both in goblin and here it's a way to point out that they are showing another world. In Goblin it was the Goryeo era and here it's the travel to the future.

Misaeng was the only drama where I didn't even recognize there was a PPL (except for that one time where they had subway sandwiches *of course*)
