He wants to make sure she is okay so he slows down to check. But on the otherhand he is in a panic. The wall he built around himself these past two years he built with pain of denying himself his need to be with her. Can you imagine how he feels when she suddenly appears? You can see him fighting with his resolve. He asked the landlord to get her breakfast. He wants to take her to a hotel and send her safely back to her college. Can you imagine living 2 years of his life and how it must have taken some strong self will to not give in to his inner most need to have Ying Tao in his life? The. human mind especially one of someone as deep as JQX is complex.

I loved TPR too, but I also love OG. I feel sad for JQX rather than upset with him. He suffered mental abuse from his mother and when Ying Tao walked into his life, she was the light in his dark world. He doesn't want her touched by his struggles. He wants his the person dearest to him to be free from his world. It is how he protects her. We don't need to agree with his choice but I cannot help but feel so bad for him. Ying Tao's tears in the shower was because of the knowledge of how he has suffered alone these past few years. I have to watch ep 20 again.

I hoped for at least 30 and do not want it end.

And yet the scenes were so well done. I am a fan. And I would think some of his fans would give his performance some support rather than bash the drama everyday because they are angry over what they perceive happened outside of the drama.

There are some who seem to want it to fail and have downrated it the first day it came out. I have not read the book and was able to connect with the characters. Lack of understanding of the main characters have led to some negative point of views. If you are reading the comment be aware that certain users have been here daily hating on the drama. They dropped it and yet feel the need to leave their daily hate comments. I love it and do not want it to end. You should try for yourself. Don't expect it to be the way the book is.

It makes me feel so sad JQX had to leave them to go to HK. I would say I wish he had kept in touch but it is drama so it happened the way he did.

I think on Viki it got 9.5.

There is so much to see in one episode. I need to set it to slow speed and watch again because I want to catch every word and every expression. Don't wait! Ep 19 and 20 are outstanding.

I was wondering if you saw some extra episodes on the platform you are watching.

I wish people would understand this. I don't know how some dislike his character and feel he does not deserve her. He needs her but he loves her so much he hurt himself trying to protect her from his struggles.

I love your take on this. Beautifully written. I have not read the book, and looking forward to reading it after. A few days ago, I read some comments from some who were upset that they didn't have enough details about JQX and that people hated him for leaving again. The users were also angry over what they called deleted scenes. I responded that I liked the episode and could understand his character. I felt strongly that he had a reason, and it must be something in his life that he did not want to affect Ying Tao's life. One user here attacked me because I keep saying I like this or that. But even if there are deleted scenes or details that were left out, I still felt connected to JQX. Like you said, JQX and Ying Tao won me over, and I hope that those interested in the drama will watch it to the end and love it too. Hopefully, they will ignore the comments from users hellbent on turning people off OG.

I have not read the book. I will wait till after the drama ends.

The landlord was funny. It didn't feel creepy at all. I could see he recognized her when he stopped just as he by her the first time.

I could feel JQX's pov in ep 15. No matter the exact reasons, he left her because something happened in his life that he did not want her touched in anyway. I never felt he treated her badly. I felt bad for him.
