When you watch ep 27, I think you might change your mind. I read this part of the book and it is fine. The 6 month…
I watched it 4 times already and I can understand why she did even as I feel more connected with Sang Yan. Watch it and see if you feel any differently.
Sang Yan has been the character I felt most connected to in TFF. I see the story more through his eyes and I love him so much. I don't like to see him hurt. But I also empathize with YiFan and feel her pain for what she went through. I know some are upset with her decisions but I am a forgiving viewer. As much as I didn't want to see Sang Yan in pain again after what she did to him in the past, I can also understand who she is due to her past experiences. She really does love him. I loved ep 27 and I would have loved to see her run up to Sang Yan and be the one to reach out first but I guess they are keeping her in character as being more emotionally contained. Give her time.
The drama deviated from the book with HK. I can live with it. When you think about dramas that the director changed the book ending from a happy wedding scene to an "open" tragic ending, this is not bad at all. The director of TFF moved the hotel room scene to HK and made the separation 6 months instead of a day I think it was. I chose to view ep 24 from the director's pov and waited 2 or 3 episodes to get to my happy place.
don't worry except for the trolls and our resident visitor weiwei, comment section has been pretty calm today…
I don't usually hate on any character but this mother should be thrown in prison and locked up to suffer! I am so mad at her I cannot ignore or tell myself to let it go.

I can also see your point about ML dealing with his pain. If the drama had shown Sang Yan angry at YiFan, I would have been upset with her. I don't think he deserves this pain after all he went through and how he held back until she was ready to confess her love to him. And now she left again. He did not deserve this and as someone said, it would have been good to see her make the first move to hug him when he went to HK. If only she could be like drunk YiFan who doesn't hold in her emotions🤣 However, I can see what the drama intended with the separation. I am a forgiving viewer 🤗 Don't give up on YanFan. Let's hope for a fantastic ending that includes punishment for her mother.

I agree that she should have made some contact with him during the 6 months if only to ease his pain and worry. When I heard she left again I was afraid to watch but it didn't bother me the way I thought it would. I saw what the director was doing and waited for it to pass. I was happy with ep 27. Now I want to see the mother punished.
I actually understand you completely. I was the same yesterday. So frustrated that I wanted to rip off the hair…
I felt connected to Sang Yan from ep 1. I felt his pain and just as I was thinking it is time for YF to start showing him some love, I started seeing some. I wanted her to run to him and hug him too in ep 27. But she went to where the others wouldn't see her. I think she was too emotional. Yes, it would have been good to see her be the one to go to him. But when he called her to him, she went and you can see the look on her face when he hugged her. This time it would have been good to see her initiate the hug. Sang Yan is my favorite character here. I still like YF and feel for her but Sang Yan and perhaps it was BJT's performance has my heart.

I want the mother to suffer. I am so mad!!! She didn't help her little girl. She lived in luxury driving her BMW and left her daughter to live in squalor and with a pervert!
Try to watch till ep 27 - their distance is excruciating but by ep 27, the change makes more realistic at least…
The hotel scene is from the book but in the book he treated her cuts from when the uncle pushed her and her leg had cuts from the bushes. But in the book she followed him to Yihe (can never remember the spelling..Yilhe?) In the drama she left to go to HK while he was away.

My heart is full. Now I want to see justice and those evil people punished including her mother. Her mother needs to show remorse. I am so mad at this mother.

The thing is people only see that she left again. I am watching as the reason they had her leave was to set up for Sang Yan to visit her past and to show us more about what happened back then. I love him more for not reacting with anger. He even said he wished the reason she left him back then was because of him and not what was done to her. This is selfless love and doesn't make him a doormat.
I thought she showed remorse. But I agree that she should have contacted Sang Yan even if she didn't tell him her location. She shouldn't have let him suffer again. This I agree. All I can say is that she thought she was doing the right thing to protect him and those she loves from being touched or affected by her problems with her "family." But I do think we need to see how she must have felt back then and that the emotional abuse was still affecting her decisions now.

The 6 months was too long but what a reunion. The look on Sang Yan's face when he saw her. I think he was so worried about her for 6 months that he was relieved to finally see her. It is good that people reported seeing her or hearing from her so it gave him some relief. My only complaint is they should have given Sang Yan something more to help with the worry.
