I watched WIFTY in between episodes of HL and didn't like it half as much. I have never rewatched it. I know it was by the same author. Exclusive Fairy Tale was just okay. I don't even remember what it was about. That summer I kept rewatching HL as it aired and again after it was done.I might try WIFTY again. I don't know if I will ever find that secondary couple interesting though.
I am not saying I agree or disagree. I am saying I understand if you got a different sense of HL than I did. I am glad it didn't give me any pedophilia vibes because then I wouldn't have enjoyed it. Hidden Love is one of my top feel good drama.

Dream of Splendor had a similar vibe especially with the women working in a business together. I enjoyed the scenery and lively atmosphere of both. In TPM, I wanted more of Kangning and Chai An. At least we saw brief moments of their married life but it wasn't enough. I was disappointed we didn't see the twins and they were only mentioned. I didn't love everything they did in TPM but it was such a pleasure to watch this daily. The overall feel of the drama, the sisterhood, and other aspect made it a 10 for me even if it wasn't all perfect as to what I wanted to see. I think they cut scenes due to censorship. I also read that the twins were not cooperating so that is why we didn't get any scenes of Kangning with her twins. I feel they should have found another set of twins to play the part.
It is good that is it positive but don't be surprise if you see some crazy hater come. Today there are some in TFF forum. It could be the same person with multiple accounts because they both dropped after a few eps with rating of 1 but came back to say nasty things.
I was fine with them starting a romance when he met when she was in college. It was all so sweet. I watched it and felt happy with the drama. I loved it so much. Apart the sadness with Jiaxu's background, it was such a feel good show. It was delightful. I understand if you saw it differently but I feel sure the basis of this drama was a secret crush and wish of young girl that led to first love.
Do you really believe China and censorship knowingly produced a drama based on pedophilia? She had a crush on her big brother's friend. In the drama, there is a 5 year difference. At the time when HL aired, I was new to MDL and only joined so I could discuss how wonderful HL made me feel. I loved it. I was shocked to see the nasty comments. I get that maybe you were uncomfortable with it, but it wasn't the intention of the writer or the producer to make HL a story on pedophilia. The story was based on the premise of a secret crush and wish that came true for this young girl. And not only did she get her wish. She brought light into his life and showed him he was worthy of love. He spent his youth working extra jobs to pay medical expenses for his mother and father and to stalker girl. He was ostracized for his father's crime. It was beautiful to see how this young girl he thought he should protect came to be his biggest protector.
I am okay with the second couple but they are putting too much time into the grandfather.
I wonder if there is a reason. I can't see why they are doing this. Do they want to show that in life there is birth and death and with the grandfather it show life has stages? Maybe by the end we will see the reason for the grandfather.

I always say I am going to wait for more episodes but when it is really good it is hard to wait. But I hesitate because I am not sure I want to be obsessed with two ML at the same time. I see a lot of my friends did not hesitate!
Oh I know what you mean about hesitating to start a drama and then once you take a peek you are in! I know that will happen with this ZLH drama.
My heart stopped. And YiFan's heart did too! I don't know how she could breathe. I think it is time for the kisses to start. It is not realistic after this point for nothing to happen. Come on already!

I just drop it. I don't rate it low just because it is not my taste. If I see it in my drop list I know it is not for me. Yes, I am aware of people who only give 10 to one actress they love and purposely downrate others. That it strange too. I just feel if you didn't watch a drama, you shouldn't rate it. There is so much work that goes into a drama. You are not the only person who watches one episode and rate. I don't understand why you all do that but you are saying it is for yourself so you know you don't like it but it affects the overall rating. Put it on your drop list. Isn't that enough for you to know you don't like it?
