Really? I am dreading it because I already feel his love for her.
He looks more in love than Tao does. The little things he does such as move something that was blocking his view of her at her desk and refusing to change his office just so he can see her. I love the man!
He is not as controlled as he thinks he is. Holding hands is more emotional than casual. The way he put his hand…
I don't usually take sides with the leads and try to see from both sides, but I am afraid I am going to be terribly biased. I hope everyone will forgive me😂
I wonder how many episodes you have watched. It is so obvious that there is a resounding theme of women's independence. The women around Tao including her mentor, have failed relationships and are trying to push forward with their careers. Tao herself chose not to follow her ex boyfriend and she is working hard to learn. Luan Nian is helping her. He might be tough but she is learning from him. She has made it clear time and time again that she wants to make it on her own. She didn't want shortcuts. She didn't want to depend on anyone. You say you are a feminist and the push to choosing career over love is a recurring theme. I am surprised you questioned the drama's direction.
I actually see it differently. I don't think Tao being his subordinate automatically makes their relationship…
Exactly! I think you were typing the same time I was😂 It is so obvious that one resounding theme is women's independence and ambition. You can read my response.
I'm gonna wait till the end to give my honest thoughts on this. I am not super comfortable with the premise of…
The basic premise is she wants to learn and intends to choose career over love. She questions the ML's assumption that she is not suitable. She wants to achieve her goals without people thinking she took shortcuts, hence the secrecy. She chooses career over love which is the reason she requested a transfer. She is slowly building herself up from her rookie classification and earning the respect of her superiors. There are themes of female independence. She broke up with her college boyfriend because she wanted to follow her own path. She is constantly trying to learn more and challenging herself to accept tasks nobody else volunteered. She is constantly saying she will learn and work hard. Everybody starts somewhere.
Luan Nian represents control and experience...a master strategist, He challenges Tao to become someone capable of making it in the business world. Tao is inexperienced but eager to learn. Up to ep 10, she has already come a long way in proving her worth. Not only that, she has managed to thaw the cold ML. I feel sure the break up or separation after 6 years of being together has to do with her finding herself so that when they meet again, they are more equals. It is the whole point of her starting out as a rookie and, according to Luan Nian, "unsuitable" because she lacked experience. She has ambition and her character grows into becoming an independent woman equal to the ML. I am sure this is direction the drama is taking.
that little “hold my hand” gesture is giving me butterfliesn!!!
He is not as controlled as he thinks he is. Holding hands is more emotional than casual. The way he put his hand behind his back to reach out for hers brought back memories for me. Maybe this is the reason I felt he is more emotionally involved than he wants to admit.
I haven't seen anyone call her red flag on this page. We know she is hesitating because she is not the type to…
I assume the same also. There is even a curfew for the dorms in college. Her personality marks her as cautious and not one to have flings. But she cannot resist Luan Nian! 😂

I hate when they imply the leads were intimate with someone else. I assume Luan Nian is sophisticated and had ex girlfriends so he is no virgin but I hope Tao didn't go too far with the college boyfriend😂

I read a part of POJ where she went into battle. I will read this book as long there are is nothing awful. In Love for You, the ML had an ex girlfriend and they details were quite explicit but in the drama, she was a fake girlfriend. I didn't read it but was told. I didn't even tell you the worse part of it but let's just say, I tried to purge it from my mind 😂
He asks the big question, "Can you control your feelings of _______? " The translation says "love"…
We think we only have one episode tonight so hopefully we can go to sleep earlier. However, I have to watch something else after Luan Nian to be able to sleep 😂

I was going to start reading the novel but I didn't want to read anything that would spoil my perception of the drama. I didn't read the book for Love For You because I didn't like the way the leads were written based on some information. I regret reading a part of The Princess Royal that someone told me to read because I wish I could have unseen it. I am glad that Chinese censorship requires that dramas clean up the novels.

Were there some who didn't appreciate the umbrella scene? The fact that this tough controlling man threw away a perfectly good umbrella when he saw another man walk off with his girl, is hilarious😂
I also don’t understand the writing a review after watching a couple of episodes and giving it a one rating.…
It is deliberate. People rated Key to the Phoenix Heart with 1's on the first day. I am sure they knew before drama was released about the age difference. I watched the whole thing and never once felt uncomfortable but those people didn't even watch. Instead of leaving it off their list, they wanted to give it low ratings.
