they could just add cute after marriage scenes with the kids
Agree with all you said. Same feeling. I am not mad just as you said. I would have preferred more PeiRong with kids. I love that we got Tong Ye though.
It was cute I guess and will satisfy viewers that wanted more PeiRong scenes. If they were going to film an extra…
That amnesia scene is from chap 171 that the author added. I would have preferred something more romantic but at least we got to see the kids. The drama seems to follow too closely to novel in some cases. I am not saying I don't like the bonus. It was funny but I would have liked to have seen more romantic scenes maybe with them as family. Even the children's conversation was taken from the book.
if you have issues with the story not following the novel, tell me if this is the first time in the entire years…
I binged watched Go Ahead and it was great the first part and fell flat with romance. That was the drama that turned me off her with romance and every drama since then she seems awkward and uncomfortable to me anyway.

I just saw a post saying the bonus episode on the youku app. I am going to check. You and me both hoping for 30 mins of bonus but I doubt it. From the trailer it looks like they included the washboard scene. And I happy they will the kids. That was my big disappointment with the final episode and they need to include the grand wedding but not if it is a 5 min bonus. I started ABAY for Xu Kai and put it on hold. I don't like the cp. I have never been able to enjoy Seven in romance. Two awkward and cringy. I am going to rewatch SOKP. I remember liking it but it took soooo long for the couple to get together. Otherwise, I don't remember a lot of it so thought it might be a good rewatch.
I don't know why some are calling LR foolish because she almost abandoned LC when she found out he's the one who…
She was heartbroken about her brother. She loves him. I didn't want her to tell him because I didn't want him to feel hurt. That was a moving scene. As I said before, she wasn't as devastated when she found out earlier that it was SRQ and not PWX. She looked shocked but not devastated.
I posted something about this upcoming event and then I forgot the details. Thank you for this. I was going to…
I am sure we will at some point. I am looking forward to this. I don't know if you saw AASOL but Mai Mai and Wu Lei were so good in Hello Saturday so I know this will be also!
#ZhangLinghe #ZhaoJinmai #ZhangXincheng #WangYuwen for Hello Saturday recording today.https://x.com/ForCdrama/status/1813923940227842208

I don't know about daily views. I just know that TPR has been #1 on the charts. It did well in China. Of course, everybody wanted less time for SRQ in the final episode.
I remember you telling me something along the lines that the drama follows the novel closely, so I should expect to see chap 170 included. No adaptation is ever exactly like the book. I would have much preferred the novel's cave scene. I expected LR to run to PWX. That part didn't feel right to me but the gist of the cave scene wasn't a huge change from the novel. The twirling scene was added and SRQ's lines about how he won this time was so ridiculous I laughed it off. But the cave scene kept to the spirit of the scene you described when LR reached for the dagger and she screamed at SRQ that he was disgusting.
I agree that the SRQ's speech in the final episode was too long and there was too much attention given to the flashbacks we had already seen and as you know me by now concerning their past relationship. I did not want to see it. But the ending was happy and that was a relief for me. ZLH made me love PWX. To say that SRQ was the ML is taking it too far. I hardly noticed SRQ in the first half of the drama.
Thank you for sharing some details from the book. Some parts sound preferable to the drama's. Others have shared details about the novel that I would have loved to have seen in the drama. I read chap 123-127 and I wished they had included the brothel scene. I think Jin Mai and ZLH did a wonderful job depicting the humor between the couple as I was able to see that in the way they played each other. By the way, if you could point me to the mother-in-law chapter, I would appreciate it.
I think the point Kookie is trying to make is that if people don't like the drama for any reason, they should give their rating and move on instead of the constant hate comments that discourage others from watching. The comments are not just sharing opinions with some justification or reason. Some are downright hateful. For example, there was one member asking people to lower the rating. There is a post at the top that serves no purpose but to hate LR. It feels like Operation Destroy The Princess Royal in here.
I got it. Even though the ratings here don't mean anything it set a tone when people are looking for something…
I feel the same. I watched a drama I loved and was hit with a huge disappointment at the end because the producer did not stick with the novel's happy ending and sacrificed the viewers' happiness for an "open" ending that many felt was a sad ending. I was so mad and that producer got scolded by netizens. I went round and round with that ending to convince myself that the ML did not die. I even analyzed numbers of the seats shown in that scene where he sat on #34 which could symbolize between life and death in translation of the Chinese numbers. I read parts of the novel for TPR and felt the drama kept close to the novel from what I read and TPR has a happy ending. Even the preview of the bonus episode has a scene with the kids I want to see and happy it was included in the bonus as it was sadly missing in the final episode. And I loved the chemistry between the leads. When I watch again once Netflix releases all episodes, I am sure I will pick up on more details. The words shared between PWX and LR are meaningful. Oh, and I found that 'bot" situation funny too especially as I have never even seen that person! I am sure there are others annoyed with me as I have been told by another to take a breather from defending LR ๐
This review is straight to the point! I had to laugh when I read the part about Consort R. She didn't look like someone an emperor would favor. She looked crazy from the start. I enjoyed the music. There were complaints that the sml had better music but I don't know why some were upset because I loved the music for PWX and the lyrics are beautiful and significant to the couple's relationship. I am happy you enjoyed TPR the way I did! There are comments meant to discourage people from watching and I feel as if some would miss out on this unique chemistry. ZLH was wonderful in this to the point I loved him more watching him here than in SOKP which I loved.
