Nice and short, very sweet. I love this actress now. She's mastered the perfectly hilarious "smiling though I want to cringe" expression, and in general she's just walking sunshine. I could watch her in anything.

What the hell. I'm used to cdramas going a bit stale toward the end, but this totally went off the rails from episode 30+. Shows have frustrated me before but this legit pissed me off. It must have been a production problem because I've never seen anything roll downhill into an illogical random side story that fast. And it went to 90% talking in English. There's a difference between just speaking a foreign language clearly, and good voice acting. It was a throwback to bad anime dubs. The personality of every main character ceased to exist, and a ton of random new irrelevant characters you won't care about took up all the time. I think something went south and they moved the production to a new set and whatever actors they could find. Anyway, this is enjoyable til about 28. Any more after that you watch is a risk.

Ok so I know Siyue's fate was supposed to be meaningful, but it felt like the most nihilistic demise ever. There were so many struggles to keep this woman alive for 39 eps, just for this 2-bit side character to get in a lucky shot. Sorry, but the Baili and Liu families are just like, cursed. I'd leave town too. Overall, I'm bummed for Bingzhu, all of his closest people are gone. Dammit, cdramas. Now I need to watch another Huang Xuan romance to see if I can get a proper romance fix, and the romance choices are looking pretty slim.

I was waiting the entire show for Lord of Winter and Lord of Summer. I'm upset over this Two Seasons Clan.

I loved the entire cast and how they interacted throughout the story. But I really watched this whole thing for Bingzhu and Siyue. Their vibe was so perfect.

I'm here to watch Aum as a skank and after 3 eps I am not disappointed, lol. Aum and Chris have great chemistry, and Chris has great chemistry with the young ML too. The two younger leads, not so much - it's hard for me to cheer for them. I'm looking forward to the romance with the young FL's friend Pim and her guy, they're cute. This series will begin to frustrate me as it goes on - not because of the cheating, but I think all 4 leads should just split and go do some growing.

Trying out a few eps. My first impression was maybe it was a bit low budget for a jdrama, but wow there are some dreamy kisses in this! Definitely rewound those back a few times.

Well those were some swift consequences. The FL and her family definitely invited this situation: they waltzed into the private lives of perfect strangers, treated them like tourist attractions with no respect for any boundaries, and ask them to basically be tools/toys while the FL works through her premarital jitters. But her fiance is not a good catch anyway. All it took was some cleavage, a smile and a business card to make him visit the 2nd FL, and he was prepared to lie about it the next day BEFORE the FL told him she knew already. And the director is using some stark lighting to highlight the classism involved that gives me an Edith Wharton vibe: the FL's house is all bright golden light and open space, fine meals and wine that never stops flowing (seriously), while the ML's apartment is shot with dark, claustrophobic angles. It'll be interesting to see if this starts getting reversed as the story goes on.

Lol this is so messy, I love it. Seems more like satire/social commentary. Everyone has so many lines, every conversation is dense. Both MLs feel like side characters to the debates happening.

Haven't watched any related/similar series. Picked it up randomly on iQiyi and the pacing tanked in episode 3 enough for me to look it up to see if it was worth it. But it's only 10 eps, so I also feel like, might as well finish it? Think that sums it up. Edit: this seems to have disappeared off iQiyi so I finished it on Viki. The second half was more interesting than the first half, but I think Yang Yank is what kept me up til that point.

I didn't even bother looking this up when I watched it because I knew the ratings would be low. I stuck with it because the ML is a serious dish. But now I wish I had checked out this page because 1) the FL is the FL from Ferryman, and I didn't even recognize her and 2) the ML is even more interesting, both Thai and Taiwanese and starring in both Thai series and cdramas. Still, I loved Ferryman and wished the FL had gotten better roles since then. This is not it. The childlike "younger sister" FL is not my type at all. I spent most of this sighing and wishing the romance would move faster, only to find out it cuts abruptly to Season 2 without much development in this half. And a lot of time is devoted to the business/office. I'm on the second half now, but I'll probably take a break to watch the ML in My Girlfriend is an Alien, which seems to promise better romance. Then I'll catch him in a Thai series for all the language tickles.

Lol, let's unpack this. The plot is ridiculous, but if you can power through the first 1.5 eps setting up the premise you'll probably be ok. Someone handed a steaming pile of a plot to a production crew with money to burn: the set, outfits and camera work were not cheap. A little too much time was spent on the showbiz parts, without it this could have been like 15 episodes. The supporting cast did the absolute best with what they were given honestly, and it's solidly watchable til the last couple episodes. I've watched way higher rated cdramas that really tank in the middle and put me to sleep. The second couple starts annoying but they age like fine wine, and their climax near the end is spectacular. But the last scenes with the main couple and that ending? WRETCHED. Wowowow. Watched in a couple days and don't regret it, but I would have been mad if I'd stayed up late for that ending.

Yeah, I've finished 9 eps of this so far. While it's definitely well done and I want to see how it ends, I also don't think it's anything like Rainless Love or that vibe. This show also wouldn't be a rewatch for me. Rewatch = loving most of the episodes and wanting to relive all the moments. I don't want to relive most of this show, but I could literally start Rainless Love from the start today and be enthralled all over again, and I have no idea how it'll end.

Finally someone added this, thank you! I saw this on iQiyi when it was released. I really only watched it for the very creative narration at the beginning. But it was a solid watch and I enjoyed all the characters.

I loved the little brother at the dinner party. He was so smooth, did not miss a beat. She needs to cuff him, lol. But who knows when she'll actually catch on
