I swear they shifted the air dates last minute because I checked iQiyi and Tencent just yesterday since I couldn't remember the air date, and I was telling myself to wait one more day. I have the blues now, I was really looking forward to new episodes today.

Watched the first 10 eps straight. I love a direct ML. I'm cheering for the brother too, his romance is endearing. You know what's really shocking in this drama is that both leads have stood in the rain and got soaked at least twice and neither of them fainted with a fever. That's the most amazing thing that's happened, lol
On Douse Mou Nigerarenai Nov 9, 2021
It feels like this show tried to stack up a lot of strong emotional moments from the very first episode, but since you're not invested in the characters yet, it doesn't quite land. It just seems like a reel of "most touching scenes" without any of the story development that makes them special. So it comes off as syrupy sweet and superficial. But I also have that "why quit now when I've gotten this far" feeling as a watcher. Maybe that's a point in its favor? We all have no problem dropping shows, lol. This is just a "it was on TV and I was too lazy to pick up the remote to change it so I watched" show, hahah.
On Renai Kakutoka Nov 8, 2021
From the little previews of this in Renai Mangaka, I'd assumed this was just some "extra" minutes devoted to this couple that aired alongside it. Maybe I'm wrong? I'd love to see more Gordon though.

Title The Romance Manga Artist Spoiler
This was so good! During the first 2 eps I'd afraid it would become another "surly guy teaches a failing woman…
I wish they'd did the time jump a little sooner. The final ep was wild and not only did I enjoy the 180 he did in his habits, I really enjoyed the tension between the couple and they honestly could have spun a whole 2nd season off that new vibe. My only tiff with the ending is I felt his explanation for his time away was a bit weak, and the writers should have done better linking it to his struggles before. That, or left it at, "I didn't want to give myself time to think". When he went on about his place in the world it felt like taking a sudden left turn. Still, if you're an artist of any kind and ever felt that block or identity crisis, the story will give you the feels in many places.

This was so good! During the first 2 eps I'd afraid it would become another "surly guy teaches a failing woman how to date" jdrama (there are so, SO many) but it kept the ML and his struggles as the story center. I agree on the Beauty and the Beast vibe, too. Kinjo Karen became one of my favorite side characters - she was in some parts a Greek chorus, channeling both the perspective/worries of both a mangaka and a fan. And of course a shout-out to Gordon and his devastating looks! I watched Promise Cinderella before this and I didn't expect a natural hair color to make him even more lethal.

I saw in your watchlist that you dropped this drama at eps 2. I suggest you give this drama a second chance and…
Thank you, I'll try another two eps. The first two just kept getting progressively sadder.

This was a good ride, I shouldn't have put off watching so long. The hate-love-hate chemistry was fire, probably the best I've enjoyed since Ra Raerng Fai. The ML was definitely a scoundrel, but he was so enamored with the FL from the moment they met, just unable to see anything else. I can't resist a ML who obviously can't resist the FL. The FL also reacted appropriately when she was blindsided by the ML's revenge. Within a day she was weighing ALL of her options and understood what you could and couldn't fight for. Based on comments I was strapped in and ready for a shocker, but I agree with a comment below: if you've watched your share of aggressive/ mean MLs/lakorns you won't blink at most of this. I like that no one was beyond redemption or treated as too rotten to save; not all lakorns will bother with that. The servant was saucy too, I enjoyed her clapbacks.

Title Twelve Legends Spoiler
Not really. The final scene suggests maybe they'll get another start. Also most of the side couples don't get…
Yes and a couple of those stories really HURT. But by the end I was numbed out like just... really
On Someday or One Day Nov 4, 2021
I tried because I heard this might have a similar vibe to the currently airing Rainless Love in a Godless land. Besides the same two actresses, I'm not feeling that. The mystery is intriguing, but along with the slow pace it's not enough to be trapped in some of my least favorite genres like high school and time travel. Sometimes I find a show that will make me step out of my zone and keep me hooked, but this melancholy youth mood is hard to stick around for.
On Manner of Death Nov 3, 2021
I ignored this when it was first out because the poster looked like yet another forensic crime show. But then I had one of those "I wonder what these actors are doing now" moments, and what a pleasant surprise! It's really nice to see them work together again in a show with less angst. Great change of genre, too, I hope more BL shows follow. I'm glad they can still work together. I pretty much assume most BL actors get sick of each other and just keep up really good PR. There's also an unedited clip of a makeout scene after the final episode that will make your toes curl.

Is this the full version of the song? I noticed it's only about a minute and a half.

Oh, I thought "Mob" would end up with Mayama [BL manga artist]. I continue to ship them anyways :)Who is with…
Same!! I thought they'd be pretty well matched since they were the only ones hyper-aware, and seem to balance each other out about BL.

Title Fall in Love with Him Spoiler
Is this a reverse harem where the other guys don’t get a girl? Like do we get more couples than just the leads?…
Hmm I wish they added more cast names on the page! One is easy, it's her coworker at the coffee shop and Si Kong Ming. You'll see hints of them in the credits. The other is Yan Meng and one of the FL's childhood friends (NOT the one she's living with, one who shows up a little later and wants to be an internet celebrity.)

Yeah, technically there are 2 secondary couples with the other guys. It seems like a reverse harem but it's not because ultimately you'll see the other guys don't view the FL that way. The other couples don't get a ton of screen time, and one of them has a bad ending. A good ending is implied for the other couple though.
On The Shortest Distance Is Round Oct 25, 2021
Welp. I was more than halfway along, wondering what the fuss was about and ready to classify this as a pink film with decently executed explicit scenes, when everything imploded around the 50 minute mark with a fairly traumatic violent attack. You really have to prepare yourself for it and it'll probably shake any good vibes you had before then. Otherwise, I'll say I was really impressed with Mukai Riku's acting here. He has a presence that would carry well into mainstream jdramas. The scene with the experimenting guy is where it really shines through. That scene was really hinting that he'd "leveled up", and I bought it because they sold it. Strangely I thought the last couple scenes were the weakest in the film, but now that I see there's 2 more films, I'm more forgiving. I've seen a lot of movies go weak when they know they have space to clean up in a sequel. I'm super curious how they carry it through more films, so I'll give them a try.
