It kept me hooked for some reason despite the no of eps. I hated how secondary couple had an ambiguous ending. Like, how is it impossible to give a proper ending in like 53 eps?
First of all, please DON'T rate this drama GENEROUSLY. It deserves way low OVERALL score than 6.
Secondly, please DON'T bring booktok BS here. RAPE ≠ 'DARK' romance and if YOU think it DOES then you NEED to get your brain REWIRED.
At the end of the day, high school couple ROCKED the most even though they got an OPEN ending. The rest of the couples need to COURT therapy instead of eachother INCLUDING the lesbians (cause yes, out of all the times Lin decided to smash her bff right after being genuinely concerned about the whereabouts of her missing brother) and excluding the forgotten duo.
I have no words for Sun's pathetic self. So much for "don't date chain! you are mine!" lol. His cheating proved that it was only about getting back at chain. All I have questions for is the person in charge of the script. Cause who in the hell let this shit fly to air on television or released on web. I wonder if the online novel was this bad or if it's the screenwriter who thought these cheap tactics will bring in money anyway even if the plot is nonsense.
This show's second fxk-up was casting New as a senior especially when the novel's cover clearly shows that the senior is a TALL guy. Even, after being miscast New still doesn't seem to embody a senior's energy. Oh, how I wish that Tora played Sun instead. That could've saved this a little for me.
All the small budget shows I've watched yet had somewhat of a redeeming quality which made them ALL worth it in the end but THIS is simply WORSE. It's not just the story but all the way from producer who decided to adapt it into a drama and the screenwriter who doesn't have a SINGLE clue how to fit all couples arc nicely in 6 eps. Whoever else was involved in funding the production of this drama MUST be people who are FOND of mindlessly spending their money. I can't even call IT shit cause honestly that would be an INSULT to shit ITSELF.
Bro, W T F is up with THESE people? They PROMOTED 5 couples but its ep 4 NOW and they're STILL hung up on Sun x Nu?? They're the MOST boring pair on the ENTIRE planet cause of MISCAST. Even high-school KIDS got more screentime than Chain x Jorn and that DUO in Sun's group!
Xenophobia was high in The Stealer. Telling the international trainees to 'study korean' when they themselves were ignorant to the fact that they gave auditions for a global boy-group debut project.
K-soul ruined Thunderous for me with his lame no-effort performance. And he had the audacity to ask for more parts or should I say try to steal others parts when he couldn't even do justice with the ones given to him. I pity his teammates. They had a good attitude.
But, but, but.. I really liked how the judges/mentors gave their not only ethical but logical opinions to both of the teams troublemakers.
I found Tora's acting in ep 3 so satisfactory. It made me think how nice it would've been if he was casted as the senior. New just doesn't have the senior aura and it irks me the whole time in the scenes where they're together.
If they didn't try to flood this short series with more couples than it could handle than it wouldn't have been a situationship between Nu and Sun. I wanted to test the waters of Chain × Jorn in ep 3 but unfortunately Nu × Sun took all the time. I found it annoying although I did have a good time and felt a whole lot improvement in here than the last 2 eps.
ummm.. why would a straight romance have a poster like that? Honestly, I can't believe that lgbtq+ stories are still getting straight-washed. So tired of this. I wonder if it would get any better in my life.
