no the ML was in love with a woman but she decided to marry someone else and the ML told her he would love her from a distance and sustain his unrequited love. After some years she comes back and is clearly unhappy etc etc after some time the ML tries to help her and they promise to go to Norway again but she goes alone and then sadly dies after being stuck in an avalanche and being crushed by a tree
