I watched the episodes in about 5 minutes - skipping through most and stopping to watch the supporting couples.
Indeed, there is a lot that sometimes being younger now could be more interesting, but I like how I was able to grow with my experiences and how it's possible to adapt.

Since DMD was first an Youtube channel and grew as a company, a few things many older fans shared. Plus the company has mostly freelancers working with the artists and the CEO has a tendency of oversharing in IG/Tiktok lives.
He is the director of some projects as well and already edited some series, like CP2U. He is more people focused than business, so not always his decisions are the best. He has the "company as a family" mentality which I don't agree much prsonally.

DMD is the management company and Mandee is the branch for production, so the majority of the actors are under DMD and just a few secondary characters are paid to join the project.

They never shared how the payment is exactly, but it was shared by someone from Gen 4 that he got some allowance, however more money comes from brand deals and projects the actor is part of.

I never found much about expenses with Khemjira and TNP because they never share the real total. But I heard TNP was 8 digits and khemjira 6. Consider here the thai currency (baht).

Yes, DMD expends a lot without thinking much.

DMD Land 2 was in a huge space in January 2024 when only gen 1 and 2 were more active and gen 3 was barely known (no gen 4 yet).
They tried to sell a space with 8k+ seats but had around 1k+ left.
Aof decided to do tons of giveaways, however many fans got 5-10 tickets.
I can't imagine the loss with this one honestly.

Right after, in february, they had the DMD Land 2 in japan. Imagine around 25 actors plus lots of close staff plus CEO going there for the concert (~2k seats if I remember well). After that, everyone had a huge company vacation for around 1 week.
Honestly, not sure how the expenses were managed, but I can't imagine the company not expending a lot here too.

Overall, Aof is not the best business wise and he has a tendency of being quite biased. Just to get his mentality, many times people told him to stop doing IG and Tiktok lives to avoid issues (he is not always the best to express himself and normally creates issues with fandoms and others), he knows it and still does the lives.
Constantly he says he is tired mentality and stuff, but he still does things that create issues and avoidable issues keep happening over and over again.

I defended DMD more when they were growing during 2022, mid 2023. After that, I started to not feel so simpatetic with their consistent mistakes. They know where they should improve but it doesn't appear to be a concern.

TOTALLY!!It doesn't make sense, especially when episode 1 has a 9. Where do they get that the series deserves…
Well, if we need to be realistic, some people do get pleased easily.

I see many people that watch tons of series and I will never get the interest to watch so many and how they can love so many too

Personally, I watch very few shows and I rarely use MDL and similar, so I barely have anything in my accounts.

My logic is more in the sense of getting to know the show and having it grow in me, or not. If I give a neutral rating feels like I'm not being realistic since I barely saw much yet, that's why 1 makes sense when I start, and I go adjusting accordingly.

If I already watched all at once it's easier to give the rating at once.

I have a similar perspective for 10: " shows I really loved watching or made me feel or think something."
I know logically that many shows have flaws, so if some had something that made me feel something or create a good memory, that reflects in the general rating.

But I didn't do full reviews to go into details and bring all points for any series yet. I feel I need time to sit and write all.

Since you were such a nice person to talk here since yesterday, I will adjust mine to be a 5 for now and wait the rest to see how it goes.

Thank you for being someone open for conversation.

So, to answer you:

1) "The thing is that for TNP - a lot of NEW ACCOUNTS with no history gave TNP a 10."

Indeed, many people in the fandom don't really care much in having account in review pages. Many had to create because of the situation.
There is a BL page that makes it their mission to post about series ratings and people use it to attack projects and come here to up/down rate as well. They know people will do it and they just care for engagement.

So yes, fans had to come here to try to avoid haters making it a 4-5 or worse to avoid others using the site to attack ZNN more.

2) "Why was there such a strong dislike and which fandoms hated TNP to downvote it?"
Is not TNP per say, more like ZeeNuNew. They got very successful with Cutie pie and many fandoms got jealous of all the awards they won as well as their constant high trends and how much they show up online for anything.

During cutie pie, not only GMM stans became more aggressive, but KinnPorsche fans too, since both were happening at the same time. There are probably others, but these were the most obvious ones.

Till today, many make it their mission to go to any post and content about zee and or nunew and trash-talk them and their projects, that's why fans got more protective.

Just to see how crazy it was, another review site had people voting 1 for episode 2 two days before it was even released. That's how much people invested in attacking the new project of ZNN simply because it was theirs.

3) Thank you, I appreciate it.

4) "I dont understand fandoms so well so initially I thought TNP fans would like Khemjira because they are on the same team so to speak. How wrong i was"

Not always will one like a series just because it's from the same company, and different genres can affect too the interest, but BL is very like kpop, so you may find people from other series going for a series you like if it gets more attention than theirs. The more popular you are in BL, the more people attack you.

Usually DMD considers the post-series to get the profit back, like Fan meetings, products and possible brand deals for the actors.

During the series they usually sell some products, but nothing that can be super profitable yet.

They do try some extra stuff to get money back as well, like some very expensive packages of "benefits" during screenings for episode 1, 6 or 7 and the last episode.
For the last episode of TNP, they did 30 fan packages of 25000 baht and 170 packages for 20000 baht and all sold out. Just to have an idea.

None of the episodes bored me, but Ramil/Paytai had a minimal role in the book and all that abuse and faux BDSM…
So, Aof clearly said he had to adjust the script after the fans, specially the thai ones, commented hard on charan and other points. There was a clear recognition from aof about the script matter. Sadly he ended up doing whatever he felt like.

Zee did many more series, you should watch:
- Phleng Bin Bai Ngiu: he was quite popular in thailand for this role, happened a bit before CP era.
- Remember 15: very dark themed, many great actors here.
- Rose In Da House: a funny toned series with other BL actors.
- Club Friday Love & Belief {The Seven Year Itch}: a popular series based in a radio show.
- One Night Stand: got quite popular the show, well watched within the official platform in thailand.

Maybe try checking these ones.

Seriously? Why bring the Next Prince here? Hater much? 😊
While it is, I think the use of make up or not doesn't make much sense as a comparison. If a series need to use more than the other, what's the point of comparison exactly?

Khemjira feels more like a normal modern daily life, so makes sense to be more simple and discret. TNP is royalthy themed, so makes sense to have a bit more. Even so, a weird thing to be concerned between shows xD

I'm sorry, but where exactly did I came here to talk about the show?
I didn't say anything about it in the comments, would be nice if you stopped creating fake stuff, thank you.

I never get people feeling it's necessary to announce it. If you don't like just leave and that's it 🤣
I love when people are "talking" with others and exagerate stuff like "crying oj others comments" and "now cry all you want" as if that's what I'm doing lol

The lack of argument is very visible.

Clearly, Its a you problem of not knowing how to show admiration for the things you like if you are willing to come here and hate a series non-stop.

Have a good day wasting with something you dislike pal. Bye :)

Oh yeah, because I come to MDL to save the whole watching story xD

I do have a life and no clear interest to save my watching story for others to see just to prove a weird point.

Plus, why should I waste time checking all your comments? You should be concerned that you still waste time writing over a series you dislike.

Sadly many haters of ZeeNuNew that love wasting their time attacking the boys because they are popular. They will…
Good for you, but it's not the case of many here that come with bad intentions in their comments.

Since cutie pie many people make it their mission to attack anything that's done by ZNN.

Honest feedback is fine and personal perspective is fine, but the ones willing to downplay the series hard and force others to not even try on their own are clearly haters here.

I recommend you read the reviews up the page, but I would answer that this series is actually bad… they should…
That's why I said for people to watch for their own opinions, because the ones going with no expectations usually had a more positive perspective than the ones going with high expectations.

And, sadly, here in MDL I saw many people that are purely hating on TNP when their own favorites aren't much better honestly.

As for the being rude in your posts, it's a bit hard to not feel like that when you consistently talk a certain way.

I will be very honest with you, it's hard to not see your comments as one of a hater. Yes you did bring some points, but how you express yourself doesn't help you.
Many comments of yours here on the TNP page talk about "vanity project" and "x projects could have been done with this money"and this kind of stuff will make many ignore all you said to label you as a hater.

If you want your point to be more welcomed, it's better to use a neutral language.

And if I may add some context to you about the comment you made in your review: "The ratings are a joke. Over 95% reviews here 24/7/20 have given this a rating of 10 when they had only seen 1 episode (reviews done in first week of airing). Currently there are 11 pages. It seems its desperate dishonest fans."

1) Yes, fans were desperate because TNP barely started and haters were down rating the series non-stop. Many came already attacking the series with just 1-2 episodes and being sure to take it down so they can say how awful TNP is because of the ratings.
What you saw now for Khemjira is nothing close to what TNP was getting.

2) Not wanting to bring it openly here, but I need to bring a point: isn't it what some fans from Khemjira are doing with just 1 episode?
Maybe it's better not to judge, because one thing I learned about fandoms is that usually all fandoms are the same, just changes the volume of people involved.
Don't judge to not be judged and all that.

But thank you for being open to talk, it's nice to have a proper conversation without insults.

I will be honest: pages likes this one are not relevant to investors, so only fans take it as something relevant.

Liking it or not, vibility and how much people talk in general is what matter to investors. Plus, since it's thailand, how much fans are willing to pay for the artist.

Thailand is full of top spender events where people can expend huge amounts of money just to get close to the artists and the more profitable you are, the more they will be interested.

You may get high ratings, but if you can't sell, very feel will want to keep working with you. So, unless you have connections, you will end up being forgetten once the series is over and a few months passed.

Not many pairs survive it

When I rate ZNN shows, I rate after watching them fully too.
TNP: 9.5
CP: 9.5
CP2U: 9

While I may dislike many aspects of certain series, I do consider how the series made me feel in general as well.
When I saw Cutie Pie, it was my first series with zero expectations and made me find the boys, so I do admit I got an emotional value added.

Now, stars in general are not full reviews, and I personally never stopped to do one where I can deep dive into the details, so while I get your point, it misses certain relevant details like the ones I just commented above. Overall value is not the same as full analysis to me.

And while I get your analysis over investment, TNP was decided to be a high investment because it was a royal series, so not investing was a risk to appear cheap.
Investors know that ZeeNuNew has the highest return on investment within DMD and it was the very first kind within BL.

What we see now is the result of choices from DMD and Aof in terms of production that affected the series; however, we can't predict it when the series is being done. A decision was made and Aof was responsible to make it worth the investment. If he had done it as expected, it would have been an even great return, so it was a risk considering the novel being popular, the royalthy theme, the name of ZeeNuNew and the huge cast of senior actors joining the series.

You can say it now, but we couldn't know how Aof would manage the script till it was presented to us. Businesses are about risks and decisions and currently within DMD, ZNN were the ones that DMD can risk expending money without fearing a way to get a return somehow.

Another huge risk in investment for DMD is Zomvivor for example, an original series. We don't know how this one will go, but it was said that DMD may not get a return for this one.

Honestly, DMD in general does do expenses in some parts of the company that are quite bad, but that's the mentality that allowed many rookies to get a series as lead for the first time, even with no previous experience.

Oh, and about the reviews of TNP: many 10s too for khemjira with just 1 episode, so it's nothing that others never did or will never do in the future. No one is safe from this kind of rating, for good or bad.
Many fans of BL use the "BL of the year" about many series even before they start, and DMD projects are not the first ones to be like this, and will not the last.

I understand the situation because I have been with ZeeNuNew since Cutie Pie and It's not uncommon for me to see people being hateful with anything they do and complaining over things that for others they are okay.

Sadly that's the reality of the BL fandoms and I don't think it will get better.

From my side, I can only be honest in my perspective and try to be mindful to not become what I dislike.
