Review Drifting Away
I'm not so sure about the message, what I kept thinking was that Chinese police didn't seem to have enough means to pursue dangerous psychos. I can only hope that at present things have changed.

I don't see where you got that glorified killer feeling from, I felt hate & disgust all along. If you think life is a bed of roses you probably should stay away from footage that's a bit raw. In general it's good to have an idea of how low human beings can get. I'm sure the real case was a lot worse that what's shown in this series.

Their parents need to take the blame if these are the kinds of kids they raised. And before you make an excuse…
You can find all the evidence you need on weibo.

As to your arguments:
1. you don't call people stalkers just because you read some gossip news on Internet. It helps no one.
2. you don't give unsolicited advice to people you know nothing about. It lowers your credibility.
3. generalizing is a quick way to assess a situation you want to get out of, but points 1 & 2 apply. Your very own perception of the world is just that, literally.

I guess you are an anti fan of him
They're waiting outside his door just to take exclusive pictures & stuff that I bet you whatever some of them will try to sell to [other] fans who have real jobs & can only chase him online. The guy's signed up for attention seeking & this sort of stuff & gets paid well for it. You're better off pitying Elon Musk for his harsh childhood than current Chinese celebs for being followed around, this is what they do for a living.

It is not anyone else's business unless that someone else can make money off it. You can argue that preying on others' vulnerabilities is lame or whatever, but not that it's not a common practice.

Make that sometimes most of the times. Especially if what's involved is survival.

I find the entertainment industry to be getting lower & lower. Last year I watched an interview with an older actress from my own country, over 50 in any case... She said that she considered herself very fortunate to have had all the opportunities they had in the past & that it's very tough for young actors nowadays to find decent job offers 'cause the whole thing changed. I have a friend whose daughter has been trying for 4 years now to get into acting, we both wonder why as there's no demand for that. By now that young lady knows as well that she's sort of chasing the wind yet still hopes. Art was never something that paid, but nowadays I think it's a lot worse.

If you've ever worked for a corporation you know people can do so many ugly things for money & there's always "an easy way out": just quit. Money will never buy your health back, or the time that you lose making it, or the people you may lose in the process. Some things are not worth it! Most of us don't know what we're getting into beforehand, but you can always say No. It's one of the most powerful things a human can do in today's society.

The stalking fans are probably going to keep stalking as long as they have the means while the entertainment industry cashes in. If this guy can't take "working under pressure" - as ordinary managers would put it -, he will be off the screen in the near future and that's about it. Afterwards maybe he can actually sue the remaining stalkers, if any. The way things are in that part of the world though, there's a certain probability that the stalkers are professional too.

European celebs are ugly and boring.
A shark in Seine, that's an interesting hypothesis, hahaha! I didn't watch it (of course), it's been some years since I've stopped watching anything that is neither expressly recommended as interesting or made in China. France has lost a lot of things in the last years, especially the right to ridicule religion(s) when people feel that they should. As to the gender problem I think the 2024 Olympics made it clear we no longer know what's a woman & why a man will never be one...
