I had dropped the movie a while ago, after watching about 2/3 of it. The toxic unhealthy relationship was hard to watch.
But now I know who Yamazaki Kento is, and have been watching a lot of his work lately. So I think I'm going to try to watch it again, all the way through this time.

Without giving me any spoilers, does this movie have a similar feeling as "One Week Friends"?

I checked the webpage of the fansubber who subbed the drama, & someone had asked them if they're going to sub the special too. Their answer was: "no, sorry I’ve no plans to sub that."

You could've marked your review as having a major spoiler [like, geez, idk - the fact that a main character dies!?!], for those of us who know nothing of the story, and have not read/seen the original or prior versions. Because it kind of ruins it a bit. Thanks.

Yes!!! Sometimes I really need a break from kdramas & cdramas, & I go directly for jdramas - for exactly the reasons you said. 🩷

Maybe the directors tell them to act that way since many jdramas are actually adapted from mangas. 🤷‍♀️

I'll be honest, I watched for Kento. I have no prior knowledge of the source material for this movie.
But I was pleasantly surprised by the comedy in the movie.
The first musical number felt awkward, and I started wondering what I got myself into. But after that, the rest of the songs (and there actually wasn't too many) weren't nearly as bad. Some were just plain hilarious.

Someone just recommended this one to me like 2 days ago. 🩷
It's already in my "plan to watch" list 🫶

I liked Tunnel way more because it didn't have the element of extreme cop corruption which was so prevalent in Signal. The cops in Tunnel were actually good guys, not corrupt, and worked well together. I loved that. I feel like I don't see that all that often in kdramas.

Lee Kwang Soo in a thriller/crime drama?! I think I've only personally seen him in comedies. I look forward to seeing him on this role.

Make sure you watch the special Predator eps too! Preferably between ep 15 & 16. (I think that's when they originally aired.)
