The whole show is cringe but it’s nostalgic so I’m loving it. They don’t make shows like this anymore.
The show is definitely cheesy, but not cringe to me. That dialogue, though, was too much🥴 There are cringe moments here and there, mostly because of the extras and how they act.
That person with multiple accounts replying to themselves and agreeing with themselves🤣🤣🤣 Also, people in China like high-pitched, cute voices. It’s mostly overseas audiences who don’t. If you watch enough Chinese dramas, you can easily tell. Most of them are dubbed by voice actors with high-pitched voices and act in what I call a “spoiled” style. Besides, they even have AI-generated cutesy voices for women that are commonly used in China.
You know what I’m thinking? I think people force themselves to watch Esther’s dramas just because they become very popular and viral. Because everyone is talking about it and gushing over it, people keep trying and forcing themselves to watch, even when they already know they’re not going to like it because of her voice, her acting, or whatever. Then they come here complaining. Just don’t watch her dramas. It’s easy.
There are people who like cutesy and spoiled girl characters. What’s wrong with that? Not everything needs to be compromised to your taste. Move on!
