I agree that the ending was too happy-go-lucky. They all honestly should be dead, but at least some type of gratification from either Yok or Dan dying would have made me feel better.
God, I love reading your reviews, you always have me tearing up by the end.
That's how I felt too in the beginning, that Gun and Off are not built to be in a gang, or built to play characters that were supposed to be mean and tough. Who would be scared of Gun when he has the body of a fifteen-year-old?
Review for episode 1: It's so rare that I ever like the first episode of a series, but this one is the anomaly. I love the way these actors are portraying their characters. Obviously, all of them are over-exaggerating, and being extra for no reason, like hiding from Nuea is one scenario I can think of. But it's hilarious, and it's supposed to be that way. Of course, this series shouldn't be taken seriously, and I know I'm not as I usually do. It's melodramatic and over the top for a reason, to get a laugh out of the viewers. Nothing any of the characters do I would ever support in real life, but this is a BL, and I usually don't take these things seriously when it's happening in a fictional world. It's obvious that Toh has an extreme obsession with Nuea, which isn't healthy, and at times was a bit much (collecting the things he's touched, his collage of photos, the bedsheets, and don't even get me started on the cardboard cut out...good lord). Part of me wishes that they would've made Nuea some bigtime celebrity that went to their uni so maybe Toh's obsession wasn't as unorthodox. But anyway, I can already tell this is going to be my new feel-good series like Tonhon Chonlatee and Gen Y -- a series that you shouldn't take to heart and realize they're just there to get some type of positive reaction out of you. Don't take the things these characters do seriously -- take their conflicts, personalities, relations, and outcomes with a grain of salt. I'll just have to hope that the people watching aren't easily influenced by the decisions they see these characters making.
Can anyone recommend me bl with the same concept please
The only one I can think of is Nobleman Ryu's Wedding. A brother goes in disguise as his sister after she runs away. She was to get married with another guy from a different providence (I believe that's what's it's called) but the brother and the dude end up falling in love.
I'm genuinely confused why people think Book and Force look alike. I'm a twin, so I might have that thing where I can tell the difference between two people (even though Book and Force aren't related). For one, Force's eyes are very dopey, and has a longer chin than Book. Force also has a pretty long neck and is proportionally-wise, way smaller than Book. Book has this very bulky build. I think the only similarities are that there about the same height, and that they have kinda-sorta the same hairstyle? But even then, I can differentiate them perfectly.
People literally dropping the show cause they can't tell the difference between them is a new one, for sure.
i'd be genuinely surprised if theo ends up with any of these 4 guys lol it's clear that he's in love with akk
hate to break it to you, but GMMTV has been sponsoring Force and Book since the beginning, meaning that they for sure getting together. It would be a waste on GMMTV's part if they've been booking these two together in everything, just for Theo to end up with someone different. I wish we didn't already obvious know as it would be kind of fun to see 5 guys pining for Theo, and we actually had no clue who he ended up with.
Okay, but were JJ and AJ at least in the lineup for potentially playing Black and White? Cause that would be perfect (Of course I love Gun playing this role, but just imagine how cool that would be to have our iconic twins playing the role?)
I am lost for words for why so many people enjoyed this series. I can never, and will never understand it. I'm also on the side of how in the hell could anyone find this amusing. Kiyoi was a bully the ENTIRE series. He kicked Hira, pushed him to the ground, called him disgusting, gross, made Hira do the stupidest things for him, and somehow we're not looking deep enough? Good review, I couldn't agree more.
I agree with all of this. Spot on. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who skipped the Moon competition. Overall,…
Thank You! A lot of people give this show a harsh time, in which I can partially understand, but consent is everything to me, which is why this is rated so highly.
You are not the only one. What is the point of the series? We already know what will happen, so there's no drama,…
Exactly! Unless GMMTV is going to throw us a curveball (in which I know they won't) Then I take my comment back lol. But both leads have been doing shows and events and publicity together, so because there's already an established fandom for them, there's no turning back.
