Hi LucyL! Thanks for the lovely feedback. I absolutely loved the mentioned movie too—it’s such a powerful monument to that struggle. It’s funny you mention it, because I actually have a finished review and some research on the battle sitting on my desk, but I just haven’t gotten around to posting it yet! Great to meet a fellow war movie buff who appreciates the history behind it.
I agree with you but after everything you just wrote you gave it 9? Hate to break it to you but you are part of…
Yes, I know, what you mean. But I rated the production, not the intention. My criticism is about the perspective and the absence of substance beneath the surface. If that isn’t what you’re looking for, the series works — efficiently and on a high technical level.
i´d say it is sort of a stand alone commentary on the beginning of the series... with no impact whatsoever on the story itself. using this and that scene with thoughts about motivation and challenges of the protagonists. i could easily live without it. but who knows, some might as well like it...
I'm about to finish Queen Seon Deok for the 6th time and want to watch the dramas of Go Hyun Jung that I haven't…
Madam Oh? You will find out :-) He is actually quite sweet... especially in his relationship with the kids... A great man and guardian of Dong-gu. Enjoy!
I actually enjoyed this bitter sweet drama and wondered how accurate the slave story was? It had is drama love…
Doo-hak was a wanted man again, because he had the recording with the conversation of Man-ok and Choong-sung plus the following murder taped on it. Choong-sung found out about that as they discovered the wire on Man-ok´s dead body. Therefore, to get rid of Doo-hak, Choong-sung frames him for being a North Korean spy. (Yet not for what Doo-hak had actually committed in the past.)
I loved this show. It had romance, music, suspense. It was pretty thrilling. I’m glad that the ML didn’t turn…
Good question. However, for her plotting she didn´t need to know. Her poisoning would have been just good enough for her plans - keeping Seeum dependent.
The audience KNOWS that in fact there is no incest as they actually are not related family. Thus the show ´ethically´ doesn´t suggest anything ´wrong´, as it is a hypothetical conflict.
My criticism is about the perspective and the absence of substance beneath the surface.
