Yes! They really did Seung Hyun dirty by barely delving into his background for the entire show. We know more…
It's a good first role for a rookie actor so maybe he realized that. In that way it's smart since he is not being expected to carry the drama (not even a veteran actor can carry the drama with this role). I heard he accepted the role after being shown the script of the first 4 episodes. Those episodes were super Eun Gang centric so he probably knew he was not being given a heavy lead role.
Completing episode 13 and just starting 14, LOL TBH it’s really hard to understand or feel sad about Seunghyeun’s…
Yes! They really did Seung Hyun dirty by barely delving into his background for the entire show. We know more about Eun Gang's parents' background than the ML. We're just supposed to know that he is deeply hurt because of what he previously said about his father but we saw nothing that would help us understand better. Tak got a sad montage but nothing for Seung Hyun's relationship with his father, who arguably hurt him even more. It's so frustrating how sidelined the ML lead was.
I can't get over how great the leads' chemistry is with each other. Honestly the ML is so good at romance I was swooning hard. Feels like that will be the ultimate takeaway from this drama.
I somehow agree here. I felt the same when he got to know the truth. He should be more fierce, raging with angry…
He wasn't calm at all. You could hear his voice boiling and see his muscles tense in anger. If you want someone to flail around in order to prove they're devastated, that's not how his character is. That's how Tak is but not Seung Hyun.
i can't believe this drama is already ending next week. there's such a serious tone shift in the new episodes…
It's refreshing to see this kind of response in a ML. It's definitely intentional to have polar opposite reactions between Seung Hyun and Tak. Well done by both of them for this contrast.

Not all MLs have the same personality. Being fierce and raging would be completely out of character for Wi Seung Hyun. It's interesting to see how some people missed that aspect of him. I'll blame the director for that.
I hate to say it, but the guys are all incredibly stupid. I can't even feel bad for Daeil cos what exactly did…
Seung Hyun's whole reason for becoming a police was because of this idealized image he had of his father his entire life. That whole perspective collapsed, now he is convinced his father is a criminal and aids criminals, the things he stands against the most. On top of that he was rejected by Tak, maybe justifiably in his own eyes. So I don't find his reaction stupid at all. Both he and Tak are pushing people away but at least Tak has a home to go to. Seung Hyun can't go home because his father will be there. Dae Il acted really stupidly I have to agree with that.
i like some of the characters and the pacing but the main leads are just not believable for me in their roles…
The drama didn't even include the ML much in the story until a few episodes in. It gets really good once they start actually involving him and not just focusing on the FL. And the romance is amazing. But to each their own.
