For me, while the plot shares familiar elements with other C-Dramas, it still manages to stand on its own. However, the weak script, uneven pacing, lackluster direction, and painfully jarring editing prevent the show from truly drawing us in or holding our attention.
I was quite excited to see Bai Lu and Joseph act together, and to see it falter due to poor direction and editing is genuinely disappointing.
Note, I don't mean to upset someone over this. I was merely stating my opinion.
