I know Seok Ryu should be honest about her feelings. But you have understand, she literally moved to Korea after years. She left a job she worked her ass off to get. She struggled. She faced a lot of parental pressure and expectations. She had a fiancée. She left all of that and came back. She's also trying to figure out what she wants and is fighting for it.

I'm not sure how it is in other cultures, but parent's opinions and expectations, their approval, is veryy important to their kids, regardless of age. To a point sometimes that it is rather suffocating. And suddenly, no matter what the reason for the break up, her fiancee who she was with for many years returns, ofc she is going to waver or have doubts. Just because you stopped being in love doesn't mean it's easy to tell someone you care about to walk away that easily.

She walked away from everything that she had with Seung Hyo when she started her relationship with this other person. Now years later, she's been confronted with everything she believed she had left behind while the person she was with is back in her life.

All these changes, it must have been so overwhelming since her return. So while it can be frustrating to watch her not give him answer, you can have to understand that she needs time to get in a place where she can be in a relationship with someone. A place where she has a job or a place where she can finally stand up for herself and do what she wants without her parents breathing down her neck. When she finally feels... free.

I certainly hope the same. I have a feeling with the role he played in her family's down fall, she won't accept him. But she might use him, like he wants her to, to get everything back.

I believe so too. I didn't mean he cared for her romantically. I was talking generally as to why.

Just a thought:
I always wondered as to why Han Tae Oh cares about Kang Hee Jiu. And I think perhaps it is because she was the sister Kang In Ha cared about. I remember in the early episodes, during one of the past scenes, Kang In Ha mentions as the only person in the family who cares for In Ha. This must have left a great impression on Tae Oh, who went on to care for Hee Jiu. That also explains why he must have bowed his head down at that hospital scene. Because while he was plotting to overthrow the Kang Family and let Kang In Ha have the thrown, he didn't want to hurt the sister In Ha cared about.

Thoughts on the ending:
If Hee Jiu and Han Tae Oh were together, I think she would have been back and with him rather than travelling. I mean, if she loved him for so long if she saw a chance, wouldn't she have come back to be with him?
To say he feels nothing for her would be a lie. Tae Oh cares for her, and her presence does make him smile (Like he did at her picture, even going to zoom in and see how happy she looks which in turn made him smile). But Idt they've reached a stage where they're in a relationship either. (Idk if they ever would considering it's been more than 10 years.)
About Hye Won and Tae Oh, a part of me thinks they are together, even though I hope not. He did say there will never change. Also, why kiss before her wedding if they weren't going to do anything about it in the end?
But, the more plausible situation is that, right now, all 3 of them are focusing on their lives. Each passionately builds their own lives, making their dreams true. Everyone contends with things the way they are.

Someone please spoil it for me. Does Han Tae Oh end up with anyone? Hye Won or Hee Jiu?

The Hong family members may be arrogant and ignorant. But that Chairman has worked hard to get where he was. Hae In strived everyday to get into the that club (which she hasn't yet). Soo Cheol has made pretty bad investments. But as a family, they've done their best to get where they are. It's hardly fair for that to be taken by a women who wants to steal it just because she was poor.

As much as I wish to see that, even in the end, he's choosing Hye Won. The way he looked at her towards the end of ep 10. He loves her, for whatever reason it may be. He won't choose Hee Jiu. That's for sure.

What if Park Sunghoon's character killed his family? Just a thought. Since he has a thing for killing dogs, it doesn't seem like that big a stretch. . Just a theory

I think she never stood up for him in front of her family. Like when he was being pressured by her family, she just stood there. She didn't even bat an eye. But then she goes and deals with her younger brother (as seen in the initial ep) when all is said and done and Hyun Woo isn't even there to see it. Maybe things like this happened again and again. She stopped smiling. She stopped showing how she felt. And him alone in this world surrounded by her family started to feel suffocated. He slowly started to resent her for it. And she never tried to talk to him. She just kept it all in. While he started to pull away from here, she never sharing what she felt... And so they drifted.

I'm not justifying her actions. But I suppose when you're mother treats you like a piece of trash, you rather find it impossible to trust someone and believe they will protect you. Not that what she did was right...
