I completed the first 4 episodes and these are my random thoughts; - Ive noticed that characters that have high IQ but low EQ like the ML or Sheldon cooper tend to annoying, regardless I’m surprisingly liking the ML . His backstory seems so pitiful and sad, I’m curious to see what actually happened during his accident 10 years prior. - I love the FL’s character, she can be tough , then soft and then tough again. I love the balance. - The TCI team has such an amazing chemistry, I enjoy their scenes together. It’s weird seeing the captain in a non-villain role, It surprisingly suits him. Would love to see him in more roles like this. - All in all, the intro song is a vibe ,the cases are unique & interesting, so I’m sat for this drama.

I almost dropped it there and then. Like the idea of a woman chasing after a man turns me off. - The ML keeping his distance from people is so valid. Bro has been abandoned by his mother & sister. Then his father dies and he’s left with a grandfather that ingrains “Don’t rely on anyone but yourself” - I’ll keep my distance too . I’m glad he’s gradually opening up to the FL though , it’s sweet. - The audacity of his sister to just show up after all those years with a smile on her face is crazy. - I wonder if that restaurant owner is responsible for the fire that killed the ML’s father. He gives suspicious vibes. - The FL’s brother is cute, especially his story arc with the girl bodyguard. -I love how the FL dresses, it’s such a cute vibe.
8/10- The chemistry between the leads was crazy good. I was giggling whenever the king and the FL had those intense intimate conversations. I mean, come on. I especially enjoyed the scene where he found out she was a woman. I mean, that was a wild one.
Although the chemistry was fire, the story and performances were equally amazing. Shin Sae Kyung did a fine job despite the mixed reviews, and Choi Dae Hoon (the deceased king) was also good and believable as a deranged king, especially in that scene with the ML before he died. Bro wanted the ML dead. Last but not least, the MVP, Jo Jung Suk, absolutely ate his performance as a fierce, unwavering king, from his body language to his dialogue delivery. Ate!!!
My only negative would be that I wish the leads had more time as a couple (publicly).
What a batshit crazy ride with a pretty view(the actors/actresses). I was amazed by the characters of Jung So Min and Park Min Hwan. The evil and jealousy in their eyes were so convincing I gasped when they came on screen. They carried the show and deserve accolades.
As for the main leads, Kang Ji Won and Yu Ji Hyuk. Their romance/ scenes were so boring. I had to skip the majority of their dialogue- They were sleep-inducing.
The one thing I did enjoy from that final episode was the wedding dress and how she entered the wedding hall. Wow. It was almost akin to the wedding scene from crazy rich Asians. The wedding dress, the wedding hall, the wedding ring and even the people were gorgeous.
Anyway, I did enjoy the show. I just wished the last four episodes didn’t drag so much. 8/10 for me. P.S. - BOA is so pretty!!!
Satisfying end. Amazing performances from everyone especially Kim Sang Joong, Lee honey and Lee Jong won. I mean what a lovely watch! I just wished they were more romantic elements like a kiss or a hug or something.
