The same reason why I hesitated & restarted this drama 3 times before I finally made it past the 10-15 or so eps. Upon finishing I honestly feel like 78 is not enough eps and I dragged out the last 10 eps cause I didnāt want it to end. The one drama with more than 30 eps that I would gladly re-watch every year and so makes it my number 1 drama of all timesā¦thatās a lot considering Iāve watched nearly every decent C-dramas & K-dramas out there.
Should have just ended it on the beach when he turned down the job & they walked off hand in hand. I suspected the MLās mother was the consortās friend that she kept mentioning but never say who, not to mentioned the mother herself said she was once a commonerā¦but common š It was an unnecessary reveal way too far in the end. The ML was amazingā¦I love his facials but needed at least another ep to at least show us the couple happily together as themselves with no drama or pressure surrounding them.
MLās issue with his step mum was eye rollingā¦.like I can understand his reaction from a childās point of view but as an adult he needs to grow up! His dad started the relationship with the woman after he left his mumā¦how is that an ill intention from her!?
Then they had another parent who abandoned her baby then comes back 6 years later demanding that she be his mother again!?? The good old āIām the biological parent so there for have more right than every body elseā stance is getting real annoying now. Heck she really should be arrested for child abandonment & endangerment yet sheās rewarded with some custody of the boy š¤¦š»āāļø She wouldnāt have even bothered checking on her son if it wasnāt for the fact that she ran into him at the hospital & finding out he was adopted by ML.
Now getting to the Leadās relationshipā¦.simply put, ML may love the FL later on but itās most defitnily not a passionate love that the FL wants from him. Like the one she saw him have with his ex..he even begged his ex not to leave. Heās so set in his ways that we can clearly see a long cycle of FLās obsession of break up & taking him back easily & ML letting her go with no effort to stop her over & over again. Nerve wrecking!! Which is why I think the ending where he restart a new him & her finally realising that having him there alive is more important than asking for more is the most appropriate ending for such a relationship. They both start fresh with next to no expectations from each other. Still a big disappointment but by then I already had no hope of their happily ever afterā¦.would have been much better if they both go their seperate ways in the end.

Yeah it was a decent watch but didnāt get why some were calling it a masterpieceā¦literally how you said itā¦.they threw everything in there not to mention hinting some serious weird vibe of attraction to a sibling look alike which honestly put me off for majority of the drama. That family took the definition of missing to a whole new level lolā¦even back from the dead. The only thing that would have made it the ultimate dramatic C-Drama would be amnesia and for every hospital visit I was expecting it with the way they were going š I skipped a lot on 2nd half and only stop on certain scenes just to keep up with the plot in order to understand the ending. Itās been awhile since I watched a drama like this where the dramatics turned into a weird entertainment of some sort lol

Wow How did you get thatā¦not at all what Iām saying but I think you read his character a bit too black & white for how he was writtenā¦.end point is that he gets points in my books for pointing the obvious wrong in his friendās actions cause letās face itā¦.however he got there he was wrong for initiating cheating when he was still in a relationship & apart from commenting on her looks in the beginning the drama never indicated that Kyung Pil fancy So Yung at all. I honestly donāt know where you got the idea that he wants to ābang herā when it was obvious that he was still in love with Park Mi Kyung & that he doesnāt like the way his friend plays with her feelings. He told Sang Su at a lunch sitting that he knows certain ppl can deal with such situations like dating a girl heās not in love with, cheating and having a mistress but he knows his friend isnāt one of them.
He told the truth when he said the reason why he didnāt get promoted was because of her.. he knew Sang Suās dream is to go to Head quarters but heās not making an effort anymore because he wants to stay where FL is. He even told Sang Su that itās not fair on FL to start something than leave. Thatās why he wasnāt onboard with them being together in the beginning.
When Sang Su found out his gf dated his friend & he wasnāt angry, So Kyung Pil tried to point out that he had no feelings whatsoever for PMK by letting Sang Su react to An So Yungās leaving because he knew Sang Su was in denial playing happy couple.
Also after one of their conversation he knew that Sang Du his conflicted & was doing things out of his character which he noticed was hurting him & unfair to Park Mi Kyung whom he still loves. So him raising his hand wasnāt trying to harm his friendā¦he was trying to stop him from doing the wrong thing.
And he already mentioned why he didnāt tell him he was in a relationship with PMKā¦because PMK didnāt want it to be known.
I find SKPās character one that needs to be read between the linesā¦and honestly him trying to stop Sang Su from cheating & turning An So Young into a mistress while hurting PMK along the way is already a decent thing a friend should do.

The one that can be however he wants but still tell you the hard truths even if it means making you realise it in a sh*tty way. He also always speaks up for his friends no matter who he speaks to & low key do things to stop his friend from crossing that line. And I donāt think he has any feelings or desires whatsoever for FL. Heās still in love with his ex & judging from his conversation with Soo Young he never cheated on her in the past. It sounded like he was pressed a few times by her family & may have pretended to date her friends in the hopes she let go with no returningā¦..which is where I think Soo Young now got the idea to have Sang Su let go of her. Because sleeping with his best friend will draw the line. And heās selfishly doing that knowing that he can loose his friend over itā¦.but it will help the woman he loves keep her man not to mention save Soo Young & Sang Su the heart ache of being called names if they were ever caught out. To be honest 1st half the episodes left just enough interest for me to continue to the nextā¦.but got hooked from 2nd half onwards & absolutely enjoyed this beyond my expectations š¤ This drama is also the 2nd drama Iāve seen & enjoyed that dragged out the ending (positive parts) for the delights of the viewers. Itās so rare that they need to this more oftenā¦that alone bumped my rating up by 2 stars in the end. Well done to all involved

From 1st ep the FL is straight up shown as one of those clingy females in C-dramas that everyone loves to hate.
She literally fell in love with ML from his Uni photo then chose then & there to join his classes to be close to him.
Umm what she felt is an obsession, to her it didnāt matter that he was already engaged to someone elseā¦..she didnāt even care that she was a rebound agreeing to marry him only 3 months after his breakup...the majority of that 3 months he was drunk & heartbroken.
Sheās so obsessed she didnāt even think much of the fact that sheās getting married in the dress that was made for his ex- fiancĆ© š¤¦š»āāļø
