Yes I’ve figured that out as I progress through the drama but thank you for explaining anyhow…your comment would have explained everything quicker for me otherwise.
I heard some ppl also had an issue with it when it started and since I’m starting the drama later than most I’ll go ahead & leave my original comment & all it’s contents up here for future viewers to understand better like you said.

Oh gosh…you’re getting way too deep with this.

1st- I never claim to understand whatever you’re emphasising.

2nd- I never said I’m judging her voice to her as a person and yes I’m also someone who talks cute to my husband when I wanna act affectionate.
Note: Again all that has nothing to do with the drama

3rd- I clearly explained that I don’t have an issue with her voice…I’ve already seen her interviews & think it’s cute but the child like ‘Way’ she used her voice was clearly enhanced.
And you don’t need to explain the plot of the drama…I’m watching the same one you did.

4th- I’ve explained that I’ve later found out that she was told to do this for the start of the drama.

5th- Don’t assume I know nothing about the struggle of speaking another language- not that it has anything to do with my original comment 🤦🏻‍♀️
But yes I know all about it as I speak 3 languages & grew up with a Chinese grandma.

And lastly but not least….I clearly apologised for sounding like I was judging.

I don’t have an issue with her voice since I already know she doesn’t always sound like it hence my frustrations…it’s the constant baby sounds she enhance.
I’ll also would have an issue if a fav actor I know very well is voice dub cause it’s simply distracting.
But I’m only in the beginning & someone else has explained what I needed to hear & that it’s purposely done and won’t be either noticeable or continue throughout the drama.

So having an opinion is a sin? jeez and here I thought this was a comment page!

Thank you, this was what I needed to hear when commenting this….I know she doesn’t act like this so of course couldn’t get past the child like way she was adding to her voice.

Add on Edit: I’m getting some unwanted opinions for my original comment above & I think I need to clearly correct & explain what I poorly wrote in it.
-FL voice is not my full issue ( voice in original comment is generalised) It’s the way she used her voice to make herself sound like a child.
Clearly a lot of ppl find this endearing but I’m just stating my OWN opinion that I’m struggling with it.
It’s by no way a judgement to her as a person/ actor or in any way mocking her or ppl who sounds different 🤦🏻‍♀️

This was crazy…so crazy that I can’t believe I watched all 3 seasons lol
I’m so torn on how I feel cause on one hand I don’t hate it but on another I don’t love it either but it’s not an in between drama as well cause it was certainly not boring…I get it now why so many expressed their dissatisfaction but still went on to watched all the seasons lol
But one thing I disagreed with on so many comments here is the ending….I find it satisfying!
I mean Shim Soo Ryun was the only consistent character from the beginning, so her decision in the end wasn’t surprising to me at all…she was someone that would fight for what’s right without hurting the innocent & would take on the pain & guilt for those affected from her actions.
She waited for her love in the end nevertheless so it was also endearing.

Yes every now & then i do one live but honestly don’t have the patience lol & I find that I drop a lot of dramas that I later found was a great watch when watching after completion.
But yes I agree…the experience of it is so much better when it’s done with a good drama like this.

I’m glad I didn’t watch it live…it’s a whole different vibe when you do.
It’s so much more intense cause your mind is constantly on it weeks & days leading up to it.
You can get so hype that a drama like this will hit & break you for a while.

I avoid tragic dramas like a plague but I read one comment saying it was a bitter sweet ending 🤷🏻‍♀️
so I took a chance….
After the roller coaster of emotions & honestly watching great chemistry that it felt so good to finally again enjoy a romance based drama after being turned off them for so long…I’ve come to the conclusion that the ending is so befitting that it made me happy finishing this!
I’m gonna have a break from romance again after this but it was so worth it!!!
If this is your genre & you’re still hesitating…Don’t!
It’s not perfect & some parts can ‘slightly’ get irritating but considering that it’s based on past history, I would say it’s a perfect perspective of its events…especially the fact in history that he loved only her.

Right I was a complete mess start of ep 17…I was watching it at 3am & couldn’t handle it thinking I might wake up my little one sleeping next to me, so had to finish watching it the next day ….still didn’t help 😩

Yeah LLTG is a very good drama…The plot is so fun to follow, top it off it’s the same writer who wrote Minglan so you can’t really go wrong producing it but I just find their romance a bit lacking (not always) but then that’s just me finding YY In this drama more ZL’s type.
Try it out when you have time…if you like this drama then you’ll also love LLTG

Lol yeah I tried to skipped but then I thought I missed something went back to re-watch it only to skip again..it was unbearable to watch..you’re right it was literally a cartoon.
They hyped up the Moon Jade so bad just to end it with a cartoon fight 🤦🏻‍♀️

I heard a few mentioned their lack of chemistry in the beginning but yes it’s defitnily there from midway onwards & it does get better.
And yes the scenes you’re talking about were the ones that popped into mine when I read your 1st comment….it does get fewer throughout, thankfully they don’t do it much lol

Yeah glad I wasn’t the only one raising eyebrow with that…I was staring at Wu to get up & finish dying properly lol

Gosh I can admit that it ain’t perfect especially her scenes in the beginning but it ain’t that bad enough to be noticed like that…it’s still better that 80% of Wuxia Fantasy dramas out there.
But then again I was too busy enjoying their story.

Yeah Ashes of Love got me like that😒
In fact got me in C-dramas all together
Didn’t help at all when without realising the next dramas i watched after that were even more addictive.
