Absolutely! I love how well-written to the minutest of details this drama is - asian family households, layered emotions and the complexity of feelings. Kudos to the writers and the director. Expect nothing less from a Jung-Jung rom-com drama 🤌🏻
Unrelated but love how Seung Hyo didn't think twice about following Seok Ryu and her mother out of his house until his mother stopped him at the beginning of ep. 10 - in his head, he was a part of that conversation and by extension a part of that family, he deserved to be there 🤌🏻🥹
Why are people doubting that Seokryu also likes SeunghyoI think y'all forgot that before the cancer reveal , she…
True! Also the reason why she rejected him was solely because she was still affected by her ex-fiance's words about bringing him down to rock-bottom, she didn't think she could handle a similar situation with Seung Hyo. Seung Hyo was the first person she wanted to tell about her diagnosis, I also think her depression was not just a result of the cancer taking toll on her mentally, but also how he wasn't there to help her through it. She definitely loved her ex-fiance but the way she wants Seung Hyo in her life and expects him to stay through the highs and lows, sickness and health is something the ex-fiance wasn't able to match up to, not his fault but like he said "he loved her differently", he was so focussed on bringing her back to her old self, he didn't think about falling rock-bottom with her and coming back up together... like Seung Hyo was.
Bae Seok Ryu being enegaged to her lawyer ex-fiance and yet wanting Seung Hyo to be the very first person to know about her diagnosis, is in my eyes very clearly stating - who the real priority is - who is the closest to her - the most important to her
Her current state of affairs with regard to her health and feeling like a burden is what is actually ruling her mind contrary to how some people wonder if she really has feelings for Seung Hyo. Had he confessed when he planned to, I think she would have accepted seeing how she almost drunk-kissed him. I don't think she ever doubted her feelings towards him but is trying to avoid a situation where he could end up feeling like the ex-fiance (I doubt the Seung Hyo who learned to swim just to be able to save Seok Ryu if she ever falls into water would ever stoop to that level of jerk behaviour).
Choi Seung Hyo catching a medical report peeking out of Seok Ryu's bag and reading it after telling her to leave him alone 🤝 Bae Seok Ryu searching Seung Hyo's room for the time capsule letter and reading it after he very clearly told her not to read it
With the wreck ep 9 has caused, I better see at least a confession and an explanation for her behaviour from Seok Ryu to Seung Hyo tomorrow, after the cancer hullabaloo is over
From what I understood, Seung Hyo asks her if she is ill and she responds by saying she was and that she is okay now... mothers' reactions seems like it is to the fact that she thinks Seok Ryu has cancer but that should be explained next episode I guess
In that scenario, somebody get the script for later episodes so that we can Inkheart that nonsense. 🤭
No issues with his character for me either, just mindfully and demurely diverting his attention to maybe Seo Ji Hye's character so that Seok Ryu and Seung Hyo can happily spend the rest of their lives together 😬🥰

True, but I wonder how the shows could go about showing that the memories aren’t vivid…. I personally think the sepia tone of the flashbacks demonstrates that.

Exactly, also what one considers to be significant and important memories - those aren't as easily forgotten, they find a place in our subconscious... just shows how important they are to each other
Finally finished ep. 7 today (couldn't have gone through a week of ep. 7 and 8 induced trauma 😬) and since we get Seok Ryu's pov today, I am curious to know if there were any other reasons that fueled her decision to go the US ...
I hope it’s alright that I’m expressing my admiration for this remarkable couple once again. They are incredibly…
Exactly! Hope to see them collaborate in more projects too.. their onscreen and offscreen chemistry is too good to pass up with just one rom-com, would love it if they could experiment with more genres too! :D
