- neglected by her dad and stepmom. They are ashamed of her disability and insist on keeping it a secret.
- She doesn't have any other ways to communicate than just writing on paper
- no friends at school and get bullied from time to time

I'm sure the son asked to go to school so he can protect his mom outside of just teaching her sign language lol plus it's a good excuse to stay longer at the mom house since they are providing scholarship. if he's not working then school is a good option cus wtf is he gonna do if he just stay home

Huh? are we watching the same drama because I thought he's teaching her sign language so she can communicate better in the future where she will probably go to school with people who communicate through sign language and open a new world for her instead of knowing no sign language and surround her self with regular people pretending to not be disabled.

They are not that's why you keep seeing it in Kdrama, it's a very real issue. There's cases where middle schoolers committed suicide and the teacher also commit suicide because the parents of the bully bully her back it's crazy
