After watching episode 7, Golf definitely won me over with his acting, when he cried over Laorjan’s betrayal. I was so heartbroken for him and I had this urge to hug him ! However, on Gina’s acting and her pairing with Golf, I’m like everyone : I feel no chemistry between them and I think Gina’s acting is very lacking. I feel like that by trying to portray Laorjan as a strong and sometimes cold woman, she just turned mostly pretty blank with no natural or real feeling expressing out in her acting. I honestly feel like I’m just watching a moving robot !

Over the last few years, Ju Jing Yi had always played the same kind of character over and over again (the tomboyish, cute, supposedly smart girl in idol dramas, mostly ancient) As a result, I honestly think that her acting had stagnated and that she had stopped progressing as an actress (I remember she was stunning as a villain in Novoland Castle In The Sky, her character being even more popular than the female lead ; but after gaining fame in Legend of Yunxi, she always got cast in the same type of part) I am glad to see that when cast in such a challenging part, she is doing a great job !
