People can't read. They have eyes but are blind, lol. Just from the synopsis you know there will be A LOT of misunderstandings…
I always think of slow burn referring to the slow growing of feelings, not necessarily tension. Even if it's a slow burn - I usually love slow burns, but this just feels so one-sided that it's losing me. ML seems way more into FL than she is into him (it's understandable, she's in survival mode right now, but it's not really what I want in a romance)
I kinda wanna read the book that Ja Yeom is writing. It is real? Does anybody know of a similar korean book?
It's pretty similar to I Can't Wait to Eat You (official English release is called Can't Get Enough of You). Rich chaebol who's a jerk at first, FL who's his employee, childhood connection, terrible and vengeful ex-boyfriend, and a lot of smut. I know it from the manhwa but it started out as a webnovel
Ja-yeon's webnovel isn't real, but you can see scenes from it in Spice Up Our Love.
Do I need to watch No Gain, No Love before spice up our Love?
I personally would recommend watching it at least afterwards. SUOL takes place in the middle of NGNL (eps 5 and 6), so you won't really know the "ending" without NGNL
I LOVED ITT i saw some initial reviews being disappointed at the lack of spicy scenes but honestly considering…
Not only that, but she had no real life sexual experience. It would have been weird if she'd had sex in the fantasy world with an imaginary guy before she had sex with a real guy in real life
“ Though this is not 100% in the universe of NGNL drama”
I'm not over them, either! That's why I keep refreshing for new comments so I can keep discussing them and not annoy everyone else in my life with my obsessiveness, haha.
This is so well thought out! It's interesting how Ha-jun in Ja-yeon's dream had qualities just like Gyu-hyun, which of course she wouldn't know at that point. I do think that his behavior in her dream might have reflected the interaction they had where he helped her up after she fell over, and brought her phone to the police station, which made her realize that he wasn't this evil guy. Or maybe her dream was just the universe trying to tell her something, haha.
Oh man, I loved it. But I also love Gyu-hyun and Ja-yeon. I probably wouldn't recommend this one to people that got sick of them in NGNL. It's not only a silly love story, it's also a glimpse into Ja-yeon's psyche and how she writes as a form of escapism. She creates a world where she will experience the unconditional love that she thinks she lacks. It's so nice to watch it knowing that, in the future, this will no longer be a fantasy for her (obviously, Gyu-hyun, but also she'll come to realize how much Hae-yeong loves her). I also loved how there were so many easter eggs and parallels of scenes or interactions she would have with Gyu-hyun in "reality" in the future. Finally, it was INCREDIBLY fun to see more of her novel. I would definitely read it if it were real!
I'm just trying to figure out if Gyu-hyun became her Ha-jun because she subconsciously had feelings for him early on (maybe when he helped her after she fell and brought her phone to the police station? Or just classic love at first sight?) or if she fell for him because he was her Ha-jun. Either way, it seems like Ja-yeon falls in love pretty quickly (she fell for real Ha-jun pretty after just one interaction too).
