give me back the time i poured into those 26 episodes i watched, i could've been watching anything else. i rated it 4☆ just because i liked OST and the cast, but now that i think about it, it deserves even lower 😐

oh gosh, basically everyone is killed off, two of them had another separation and ended up together hastily again. tongzhou's arc doesn't surprise me at all, he was destined to be the villain from the moment they formed that bond.

i also, heavy on that part where they sacrifice their lives for those who repeatedly wanted to kill them. that's why i would be a sucky xianxia character because no, if you're set on killing me, everyone and their mother is also dying when the time comes. like bye, bffr💀

i dropped it at ep 26, can someone brief me how it ended 👀

honestly, it's good they cut 7 eps lmao. if we still have no idea what's going on, that would probably prolong into 30s 😂

also, let's not forget about the fact that it's ep24 and we still don't know their backstory. how are viewers supposed to connect to the story and characters when we don't have idea who they are and what's their deal. we only know they shared a past life together and that's it. they didn't even bother to explain to us what the sea calamity they constantly talk is actually about. it's a mess overall

literally same... it's ending ina few days and she has no idea who she is, lei xiuyuan is saving her from literally everything, and yet no particular relationship progress.

lifei notices everyone around her being sicklish, but when it comes to lei xiuyuan spitting blood, she's suddenly blind 🧍🏻‍♀️

it was supposed to have 40eps so bunch of it was cut to make it 33, that's why it's kinda weird from time to time

so according to some comments here, i am assuming from the ppl who read the novel, there will be another angst part after his identity is revealed?

i am currently on ep14, no sign of reconciliation, and if it's a 33-ep drama, are we even going to get their peaceful era? 😐

the main issue i have whenever i start xianxia is the fact that their fls are ALWAYS suppressed by something. we get the premise that she's special, strong, badass, and then spend 95% of the drama with her powers locked, sealed, and hidden. on the other hand, ml's are always strong, even if they are just starting to discover their powers.


lifei is this legendary divine tree, everyone wants it, and we are yet to see her in full power. the only glimpse we got is when she went to heal xiuyuan and even that was downplayed.


on the other hand, xiuyuan is an ordinary sect disciple in this lifetime and yet he's really skilled and shows extraordinary fighting skills. i get it, he spent his whole life running for his life so he had to adapt and learn, but lifei also had a master who knew her origins and how dangerous it is for her, and still chose to teach her cheap tricks instead of survival skills.


and this is aimed at almost every xianxia i watched, it's not this drama exclusively.

that healing stump they used to save xiuyuan - could it be her stump since she's the divine tree and they cut it to kill her?


anyways, i enjoyed these two eps more than the first 6 because i prefer them out of that "school" that btw. sucks cuz why are there so many murder attempts at their students and no one is doing anything 😆

he'll deffo feel threatened both by xy's power and the fact that lifei will fall for him 🥲 they ALWAYS do

i'm praying there won't be an unnecessary love triangle here because they started off so good, although i have a theory that they foreshadowed prince's change of loyalty by making him the black pawn during the test 🥲

initially, i had hopes her new power will surge and defeat him, hence their lack of reaction but then nothing????

lifei yelling for prince to catch her while he's flying to save xiuyuan has to be the funniest scene so far 😆

he's literally a child who can't even tie his own shoelaces and yet they put him on a throne, manipulating him left and right. bffr

both of them are dangerous on their own, but being father and daughter makes it even worse 😭😭
