How does it make sense??? She wakes up and defends this “dad” and hurts SMJ. So she only has memories of this…
Yes this is all from the drama. This is actually largely not part of the novel. So to refresh you of the drama details:
1. Remember that the FL transmigrated into the body of a demon. SJ at the start of the drama immediately noticed her demon aura, but seemed unknown to others.
2. It is revealed that the original body was a demon sent by Yuan Shang. In an early ep showing Yuan Showing talking with the Preceptor of the demon realm, the preceptor says "All you need to know is she is the only one who can kill SJ"
3. Ruling eventually also discovered her "Extreme Cold Nature," which she intended to use to break the barrier.
This was all we know about the "Frost Fish" before the demon realm. Since starting in the demon realm, more details are revealed about the original body that the FL transmigrated into. You can review the demon realm scene towards the end of 21, and the opening scene of the ep 22.
Novel readers: they added some new content to the script right? Where he goes into her dreams and sees her killing…
In the novel he didn't go into her dreams, but the flow of narration (chapter 59) suggests that he learned about it from hearing her thoughts. Entering her dreams was a convenient way to depict that in the drama, so I didn't see that as such a big deviation.
The big deviations are her intent to kill SJ, the not-boyfriend "boy" friend, LTY being hard to convince because (from preview of next ep) her memories were altered. Those are big changes from the novel that created some glaring inconsistencies.
But whatever, I can roll with it. It's setting up SJ's upcoming death to be more heartbreaking than in the novel, which would then make the resolution through reincarnation in the mortal world hopefully more satisfying as well.
he didn't betray his friends...did you watch the show upside down? they knew about what he got...he trusted them..what…
Yes KH and SH knew. Shown in ep 10 after the credits. I am not trying to defend HG, just stating a plain fact that you got wrong. You might still hate HG for that (many people do), but you can't deny the fact - HG did tell KH and SH what his advantage was.
In the novel she just dances ballet during a work event. He invites Sang Yan to watch, though to surprise him she told him she would be singing when she was actually going to dance. I found it a bit corny.
Yes. It does look like her couple bracelet. Plus the scene before that shows her seemingly working in some food stall, and she's wearing the same blue shirt. I can't think of when that could happen following the timeline of the novel. Another weird thing is Sang Yan was there, too, with a wound on his chin.
Well whatever, all we can do is just wait for Friday. I'm still hoping it's all a misdirect, and still think it's possible.
alright this episode focus may be the past.. that's why......
The suitcase doodle could indeed mean that Yifan is leaving unlike in the novel. But I also thought it could be referring to how Sang Yan left his luggage when he flew to Yihe. In the novel they were supposed to drive to the airport but Sang Yan drove home instead because he just learned about Yifan's wounded leg and wanted to see for himself. After that argument Sang Yan takes the cab to the airport, forgetting his luggage in the car. Yifan follows him and that's actually the first she says to him, that she brought his luggage.
It's wishful thinking but I really wish the bonus chapters of the novel were filmed 😭
Sang Yan signing up for the video game after overhearing that Yifan was playing it in Yihe - that was from the extra chapters. I don't think it's too unlikely that some more will be included in the drama. :)
I don't think so. Given his morals, if he was awake, he won't ever hold her waist like that or come this close…
In the novel, he was really drunk when she returned from work.
The novel does mention that he wakes up a bit, but clarifies that he was still groggy, not really in his senses, when he hugged her. He is clearly described as sincerely surprised when he fully woke up later.
i genuinely curious why C drama like to release bts or clips of unreleased episodes that really gave away the…
CDramas dont rely so much on suspense I think. Since they release episodes daily, everthing will be finished soon anyway. The higher episode count (than typical kdramas) allow for deeper immersion in stories and better fleshed out characters. That seems to be the bigger draw to CDramas more than twists and surprises in the plot.
Question for the novel readers. In how many ep approximately will they get together?
The episode calendar has icons hinting what things will happen in each episode. If we're rightly interpreting said icons, they get together at ep 18-19.

He actually sprays the water himself 😅
