i hated the ex wife so much. there is always the right time to divorce! cant she wait until HYH is better!
Yep, basic human decency! Not to mention she obviously doesn't love her daughter at all, she was willing to change the divorce agreement and let Lao He have Xiaohe's custody as long as Lao He would sign the papers as fast as possible. Well, we already saw briefly in a previous episode that she was meeting up with some guy when Xiao Ran was giving Xiaohe a ride in his car, so obviously she is in a hurry to get to her new lover. Not cool behavior. No wonder Xiaohe chose to stay with her dad, it wasn't just because she wanted to get to stay and do whatever she wants. Of course she can feel that her mom doesn't care about her unlike her father.
hi all please give spoilers, haven't started this dramawhat happens to Ran character?is he married or have kids?what…
The drama jumps between three timelines which are 1997, 2002 and 2015. 1997 disappearance of a father and daughter happens in a building in a weird way. Xiao Ran and Lao He are assigned to this case which is thought to be just ghost stories and a prank but Xiao Ran refuses to give up, investigates and little clues start to come up. However, at that time they ultimately concluded it was just a purposeful disappearance: they had debt and wanted to run from debtors so they faked their mysterious disappearance to make debtors believe they had died.
2002 one of the people living in the building finds a skull from the rooftop of the building. Investigations show it belonged to the father who had disappeared. The rest of his body can't be found, nor do they find the body of his daughter. Xiao Ran and Lao He continue investigations and find out there was a murder plot against them that failed. Finally they find out who seemed to be responsible and try to catch him. It ends badly; fortunately Xiao Ran and Lao He survive. However it seems there are still unresolved matters and they feel the case isn't closed because they did not find the body of the disappeared daughter. The drama hasn't released episodes further, we will have to wait and see what happens.
Meanwhile in 2015 timeline Lao He isn't working in the police force anymore, neither is Xiao Ran, but Lao He's daughter has become a detective. She however isn't getting any cases. Lao He has become insane, he keeps thinking that Xiao Ran is talking to him and going with him to places to investigate cases even though Xiao Ran has been gone for 12 years. Suddenly, a case of a missing child gives Xiaohe, Lao He's daughter, a chance to finally get to investigate a case of her own. She mimics Xiao Ran and her father and does well but still ends up needing some guidance from her father. Lao He is not well because of the brain aneurysm, has an episode and faints and suddenly snaps out of his mental illness and realizes Xiao Ran isn't with him anymore. When he helps his daughter with the case of the missing child, suddenly they realize the case is bigger because it connects with another case where 4 children went missing. Now we have to wait and see what happens next.
sorry need start this drama to lolspoiler please what happened to Wang Hedi character in this episode?please tick…
Nothing happens to him, I thought he was going to get hurt but he didn't, it was his shifu who got hurt and Xiao Ran took care of him in the hospital again. It was just nerve wrecking watching him chase the criminal, no gun, no backup from police force, running around in the underground parking lot in the middle of the construction site, very dangerous.
I will never ever ever again trust MDL ratings, they are false and mean absolutely nothing. Go see what ratings the episodes each have separately gotten, there are 9.8, 9.9 or even a full 10.0 ratings, those are the real ratings of this drama! This drama is a masterpiece, flawless work of art and I am absolutely floored by how amazing the actors are in this drama, how perfect the plot, writing and directing is, thank you so much for this drama, it is one of the best I have ever seen!!! This is so far Xu Kai's best work ever, I hope he gets an award for it!
I think Xiao Ran is dead in 1997 because it look like He YuanHang can see and talk to xiao ran only in 2015 and…
Xiao Ran doesn't die in 1997, he is still alive in 2002 when they continue investigating the case. The lady said in 2015 that he has been dead for 12 years. 2015 minus 15, you get 2003 as the year when he will die.
Ran died in 2002 or 2003 they are claiming in recent episode but main poster is showing 2002 as in calender. But…
Exactly, I was left wondering who hit that guy with a wrench over his head? And if Xu Meng isn't dead after all, her body was not found? If she's not dead, where is she and what on earth is going on?
Episode 13 made me cry. Lao He pushing Xiao Ran out of the way... I was so scared that Xiao Ran would die, I don't want to see that! I just realized Xiao Ran is an orphan, so basically his shifu and Xiaohe are his family now, he doesn't have anyone else, he took care of Lao He like he was family. Xiaohe choosing Lao He and Xiao Ran calling him shifu just after that horrible woman served him with the papers when he was lying in the hospital bed severely injured was so moving, she might be horrible and leave him in such a cruel way, but he still has his daughter and tudi.
i think so too!!! because they never spoke directly! but it was weird in ep 6, Xiaohe says Ran already have a…
Also, didn't the guy carrying the mattress say that the policeman who died had been impaled? And didn't they say now that Ran Fang Xu died a cruel death?
I think the rating is low because the FL is absolutely insufferable, and hard to watch. Ratings HAVE gone up since…
Yep, you have a good system, changing the rating as you watch, that works really well.
One interesting thing is also how differently Chinese fans and international fans react to dramas and rate them. So many times I've come across this phenomenon where Chinese fans hated something, international fans loved it, and vice versa. I guess the ones making the drama can never really know how it's going to be received. So, sometimes it's interesting to see the ratings on MDL from that perspective.
