I'm just gonna sit here and smile like a fool while watching the exchange between KimCop! I've been waiting for this for a long time now. I am glad I am gonna have 12 episodes of melting and gushing over my ship <3
Just ONE episode and I can already decide how much I will love this. Episode 1 itself was already done so well. The dialogue is so relatable, the acting is good! I LOVE THAT UGLY CRY from Billkin!! Perfection! And oh gosh the cinematics. The production team also did so well. And of course, the whole Chinese dialogue hits home for me <3
Not much that I can help except for, Descendants of the Sun and The Untamed (but clearly you've completed that) as I have yet watched Eternal Love of Dream & Forest. So let's go 1 by one:-
1) Descendants of the Sun You mentioned that you needed just one reason to continue... I'll give you TWO. First, if you like cringy romance where they tare at each other's eyes while the camera pans left and right, circling around them for a full 3-5 minutes, then carry on. A lot of cringy lines as well. It was funny for me to watch but definitely not enough to keep me. However, if you dislike cringe, then drop it. HOWEVER, this is my personal review, I stayed through it all for the 2nd lead. It was all that I needed to complete this series and the ending was worth it! For the 2nd lead that is :)
2) Pinocchio Based on your concerns, there is light at the end of the series. I would say that mid-series, the main plot will start to reveal itself and it turns into an interesting mystery that needs unfolding. Both characters maintain their roles of being childish and constantly bickering as well as growth. The character development is reason enough to carry on.
Apart from your four, I may have a suggestion for 2 dramas that I might want to recommend. The first would be Ashes of Love. I watched this one after The Untamed and really enjoyed the contrast it has to The Untamed. Very enjoyable characters, lots of colors, and the fantasy/magic part are really enchanting! It does, however, have several parts over the whole 63 episodes where you'd get a little annoyed at the 3 leads and the story development but I'd say it's a good investment after all.
Next, considering that you're looking for a heartbreaking drama... If you're willing to explore Japanese drama, I'd highly recommend "One Litre of Tears". A total of 12 episodes in which I cried buckets from episode 2 onwards. I snubbed at Episode 1 thinking that I won't cry at all but I was a mess and it was worth it. To add on top of this, the story is based on a true story thus making it even more heartbreaking!
It's because of her ex-girlfriend controversy. She told she is pregnant but later we got know Captain isn't the…
I agree. Shipping is okay but know the limits. I am okay with the whole shipping for promoting a show but then the whole fan service part needs to be properly managed cause it can get too extreme that delusional fans may take things too seriously and harms the actor's personal relationships.
But again, I am not too sure if the above mentioned were 100% true or just rumors.

It was actually very long ago so I cannot fully remember... ALSO, I put disclaimer first... This is what I heard from another fan. I do not have the exact source so it may or may not be a rumor ya. So please don't take my word 100%
Based on what I heard, apparently Gulf's GF talked bad about Mew and was not very happy about the whole MewGulf ship going on because it took up a lot of Gulf's time & also as a GF who wouldn't be jealous right? It did not blow up into a big scandal but it's one of the reason they eventually broke up. But Gulf explained to the public that due to busy schedule, they drifted apart. So...... I am not too sure.
I'm really really really scared to start a series of 50 episodes. Real scared that it will not meet my expectations. Reading your review and understanding your feelings towards DOTS... I feel much more convinced to start this show. Thanks :)
I never had any plans of watching En of Love but YT recommended this today and I decided to give it a try. I have…
TOSSARA and This is Love were not the best in terms of story line and yes the cringe is too much. But I highly recommend Love Mechanics. It's the only one that has much of a story with proper plot and character development that is clearly visible. Does keep one waiting for what's next.
p/s: My suggestion is only based out of the 3 available mini-series.
i wish they could find a thai actor too because I'm sick of the voice layover
Yes. If they really wanted that voice, at the very least, Ryan should lip sync properly. I like him too but you are right. Not much effort cause as an actor, and a foreign one at that, he has the chance to self study or self translate. Put more work and effort to make it good.
