Oh how is this still so relevant, almost 2 decades later. The world of gay romance, especially in Asia is not changing at all. Magnificent, terrific! Both leads are very good actors! The story and the set up just so emotional. This needs 20 stars. Not every story needs fluff and unicorn, this is life. I applaud the director and the crew, standing up!
The only thing I would point out that being in NKorea military the guy gets to travel too much. The country is under a heavy Iron Curtain- no in or out. Especially as it is presented in the series. Just take a bus to Seoul haha. If you are from NKorea- you are a fugitive on both sides. But for a light love story its cute.
Too much happening: mafia, BDSM (on the weak side), ex boyfriends, ex girlfriend wanna be, a child in love with body guard, parents, office, night club, flights, Koreans, Russians. However if there is a rating of NC scenes- bodyguard threesome is hands down the best part of the show.
That a treasure. Despite the fact that that revolutionary movement is lead by two girls in real life, this is very good. Cinematography is marvelous and script is near perfect. Acting is great and NC moments are so intimate (we all know thy tho). This is very good and rewatchable for small details dropped here and there by the director.
I dont know why I am rejecting this story with all my heart. Maybe its because it unrealistic. Best part was Win/Team dynamics and chemistry. The only thing I can rewatch is the Bus/Chips scene and Boun teasing Prem at the waterfalls. The rest is nonsense.
"how many drinks did you have?----3" was the best scene in the series. The secons best was: "so if I get bored with this?---We'll break up." The rest is "I love you, Hia", but you will never know (unanimously). And lots of sobbing and weak side couples. BounPrem can just sit there pretty making out, and no need to shoot anything else.
Thankful for this love story as it was part my life many many years ago. he is forever 17, and I still think about him every day. Thank you for ripping a bandaid off the wounds, and I hate you for it.
