Honest review and I may be on the minority here (based on the ratings), nothing in the story is truly remarkable and extraordinary. Without watching an ep you would know they will end up together. Most of the scenes, they are working, either working alone, working at home or talking about work. I was so relieved when the rocket launched in the last ep. Finally! Even with LDR, even for months without seeing together (working again), you know they will end up together. There was no love triangle, 3rd party or challenges with their parents or social status. It's pretty benign. Most of their challenges stems from their work (satellite malfunction, paparazzis, etc.). It was more exciting when they were practicing playing the online game in the first few eps.
I'm not sure but watching till the end, I felt sad because in a span of TEN years, although they seem to be happy, fulfilled with their work. They were childless (not the only reason to be happy), meaning in a year, how long do they spend together, a month and ten days? In total, they have spent about a year in the decade they have been together. I'm not sure I'm happy with that relationship.
Lastly, Yang Yang is truly beautiful. You can look into that face and say "Sire, your wish is my command." Much like the only reason for staying and watching the 2 cringe seasons of Martial Universe was YY's thighs.
I tried watching ep1 bec of Nonkul, but the 2 FLs are too hyper and noisy. I don't think I can finish the ep. Is the series worth it or the 2 FLs going to be that way the whole time?
It's a very typical story set up, so I've just come to terms with it. The FL here is really strong also as she…
As the story progressed, I think shes does develop. But I just can't stand the naivete. I don't think women in Ancient China are that thick! There's even a scene where the ML was teaching her what to do in situations where a man asks her for something. I was like rolling my eyes to high heavens!
OMG! I'm on Ep18 and I have never seen a FL that thick. For a 20yr old, she's pretty dumb! Literally!
thanks for the recommendation, will check out SOG. Is it a happy ending? I saw you just finished with Demi Gods, is it also with a happy ending? That's the most important part. I don't want to waste my time on sad endings.
Like in Martial Universe, Ever Night or Douluo Continent. Usually historical FLs are usually depicted as younger, naivete. But I refuse to accept their characters to be dumb down. I always feel its such a waste of character if they go that route.
I love Li Qin too, esp in Fight Breaks and JOL. Those characters I love and appreciate. Why can't most FLs be like those characters?
Why are all the FL in these historical xianxia (or wuxia) so ignorant and naive? Is it really necessary to dumb down these characters? Wouldn't it be better if the FL are not just beautiful but also intelligent. I want somebody like Fu Yao or Chang Ge (from The Long Ballad), they have their flaws but they kick a**!
Getting your older brother drunk and raping him is so wrong! No matter how you love/infatuated with him. Very…
The younger brother is just sick. Sick! Using emotional blackmail and recording the rape then whatβs worse, showing it to their parents. It's unforgivable. He didn't respect his brother and give him time to come out on his own terms to his father or time to admit their relationship. He just went ahead and did it!!! What about the enabler mom? Ruins the whole series. I'm skipping their parts.
What an unsatisfying ending!!! Such a disappointment! I always want to be impressed by the ML but Lin Dong until the end is just lacking. With every episode, I was like, ok here we go! I was anticipating that he would progress into somebody worthy but all I see is self-pity and sulking. I am just unimpressed its actually sad. And don't get me started with the fate of the second ML, f**ng hell! Lastly, what's up with all those flashbacks at almost every scene!!! The director must have thought his audiences are all imbeciles.
I'm currently watching the first 10mins of the pilot and I see a grown woman crying like a little girl. Tell me it gets better? This alone is enough for me to drop the series.
I think I've seen enough historical C-dramas where these grown women would always act "cute", with their "tweety" voice, acting childlike then call the ML "ε₯ε₯" and are secretly in love with them. Is this the case?

I'm waiting for a S2 of Princess Agents only bec I want to know if he lives. If he does I'm going to cont. watching the 1st season.
I''ll check it out thanks!
