this drama and alsb were the first two cdramas i watched way back in 2017. just scrolled through my watchlist and was shocked that i gave both dramas a 9/10. nostalgia must’ve hit me hard when i made this account in 2021 and added them to my list 😭

i love the twist but ngl they forgot how to execute it properly, they could’ve just had linger give her hry’s jewelry, then jumped to the shadow reveal that led to lqy ending up in the hell ruins (which also tricked the viewers)

the mirror scene wasn’t really that important imo but it gave us a glimpse of what happened, and lqy also used it to gaslight bsj (tho we know it didn’t work). so i kinda get why they included that scene but they could’ve just had hongliang say that to her when they were fighting in the hell ruins instead of linger

i have a feeling this is going to be a full blown fantasy sageuk given the pd and writer combo. i just hope it’s not set in the joseon dynasty please let it be the silla dynasty instead

Fair enough. The writing is really off in ep5. I can't fault the scriptwriter tho, since this is adapted from a novel. I don't know if that's also how they plotted their romance but I really wish they'd change that because why is the ML acting out of character? He just gave her the final proof that made her fully believe he's her brother and now he's pulling some weird antics on her 😭
