Also she could be faking her own story who knows if Shangguan Qian fell in love with Shangjue and still carried on her plans then Wei shan could've also faked it or genuinely liked him but also carrying her mission at the same time she is too clever to be not doing her mission

i absolutely agree with you on this, Wei shan simply can't be a Chi the moment she ran the other direction to survey and locate the area after walking about of prison she seemed too skilled to be just a chi. even shangguan Qian did was not able to perform on par with wei shan (also the fighting scenes between them it felt like wei shan can do better things but she purposely did not do it)
