Couldn't finish the first episode itself. The acting is so bad that even if someone with no brain watches it, they can't enjoy it. Unless you set the bar quite low or haven't seen good dramas in your life, then maybe you'll like it.
Also, do Chinese dramas want to tell us that China is so safe that a woman can go around roaming alone while she is super drunk but nothing will happen, in fact a good man will always arrive to send her home? lol

Neko Zamurai was the first j-drama I ever watched. I'm watching it again these days, glad to see this article. Added some of the ones listed here to my bookmarks.

First time ever I've seen Sean, and I liked his work. Hope he gets more lead romantic roles. There are problems in the drama though.
One of them is that the FL too forgiving, too concerned about others. Also being a strong, independent woman doesn't mean shouting all the time or hitting people.

FL is insulted by a woman whose son is pursuing the FL, some episodes later the son is after another woman and the mom calls the FL and asks for help to persuade him to go abroad. Which self respecting girl will happily meet such a mom?
Epi 37 - She loses her unborn child in an accident and is still more concerned about the wedding of the guy who left her at the altar, that she crashed his car. Maybe it was her way of coping with the loss by talking of useless stuff but it was weird to see that the loser gets married whereas she loses her baby.

I actually am going to finish the remaining epi for the ML.

I dropped this one on the 1st epi itself, if it was a mini series then maybe I would have invested time but I have too many dramas to finish. I really hope she takes a break and joins an acting school. It's for her own good.

There have been dramas where the side actors or 2nd couple are far more interesting than the leads, so I understand what you mean :)

well u know it's kind of fair coz even TJ will be leaving her family if she marries him and I'm sure SJ is no baby who can't live without his mommy hahaha
At least TJ shut her grandmother by telling her to leave if she can't welcome her man but I did not like when SJ did nothing to protect her honor when his mom insulted TJ. It's not a good sign.

And since there are too many episodes left so we know this'll keep on dragging. There's a limit to respecting someone who only replies with hate.

Specially in this last episode when she had only good intentions to care for that woman but got chased out. I wonder when my patience will run out coz now I'm only watching for IJH, I don't like watching weak FL's who accept abuse and in the end the message put forth is, accept insult and the bad ppl will change.

I started watching coz I wanted to see IJH in a lead romantic role but this is getting on my nerves. The FL has never been happy in her home coz of her step-grandmother and she is able to reply back to her but it's the opposite when it comes to the ML's family.

Like in this 16th epi, the ML's mom conveniently faints when he's about to meet the FL's family. FL like a good little saint rushes to check her BP or whatever and is insulted in the ML's presence who can't say a word to save her and our amazing FL once again finds excuse for getting insulted saying she is the one who barged in!!!

I didn't sign up to watch a doormat FL who really wants to marry into a family where the MIL and SIL openly hate her and find every opportunity to hurt her, and where the ML can only say sorry every time something happens. Just like how the FL is expected to leave her family after marriage, why can't the grown up and financially independent ML also do the same? If he claims to love the woman, will he really want her to be sad coz of his obnoxious family? Or maybe the FL wants to have a constant headache, who knows lol

Out of all his released dramas now I only have 'proud of love'. left to watch. Hopefully his next work will be good...

Thx for writing down your views on this matter. But, I loathe the dubbing done in c-dramas. It totally ruins the watching experience. So many times have I lowered the volume coz specially the FLs sound like a 5yr old child. Only people with a certain fetish will love seeing a grown up woman talk like that.

I've watched dramas from many countries, not just East Asia and thankfully none of them use any excuse to get someone else voice over the original artist unless the drama is being dubbed in another language. These dramas have been short in length and long so time constraint cannot be an excuse. Train the actors to do their job and get them to dub their scenes, please. I like to listen to the original voice of the actor who's playing the role.

I would actually appreciate if China would allow all its dialects to be reflected in their dramas and not make them sound the same. No actor will bring in their slangs unless the script or director allows it.

Imagine actors like Alan Rickman being dubbed by some 'normal sounding' person just coz he used to sound different!!

China is not the only country in this world with huge population where shooting is done outdoors. Actors can always dub later instead of making us hear the same old voice artists dub again n again.

A good actor should be trained voice modulation so it's a lame excuse that just coz they can't talk properly someone else does it for them.

I will definitely not stop watching c-dramas just coz many of the women sound bad. They really make great dramas. And I know they'll never have something like comic-con where at least us international fans can ask them the real reason and request them not to make women sound like whiny children lol

I've dropped 2 of her dramas and both times it was coz of her bad acting. Many people get confused between a good looking person and a good actor. Maybe her fans love her work but I just can't...

I'm on ep7 and never ever has a ML made me so angry and full of hate. He wastes no chance in insulting the FL either on her face or in her absence. I know later we'll be shown what a gr8 dude he is and she'll fall for him. But in real life no self respecting woman will even want to talk to such a loser.

It was predictable and yet it's the actors who made this drama so enjoyable. The leads did a good job.

I hope child actors like him stay grounded. He is so so so talented. I keep seeing child actors who lose their innocence and start looking and acting older than age, after acting for a couple of years but he has maintained it.

Ah! Actually when it comes to China and any of my fav's movie/drama gets postponed, my 1st fear is that they got to the bad side of the 'powers'... as long as he isn't in some scandal or hasn't done anything wrong, we can wait :)

It's even worse for youngsters so yea established ppl who know how rotten it is, should use their position n power to save as many as they can... I hope the hearing is made public so that everyone knows about it.
