We've seen numerous dramas with a cold, rude, domineering ML who treats everyone especially the FL in a bad manner. Then 'love changes him'. There's a clingy girl who tries to get between them and coz of 'business reasons' the helpless ML has to tolerate her, in some instances even get engaged to her. All this while the FL is almost a doormat, with no dignity, who'll keep crying instead of leaving him.
This drama, roles are reversed so there'll be viewers who won't be able to accept it. Will want a FL who softens soon enough or even blame the writers claiming they hate men lol
I'm quite satisfied with the ending of the movie. I don't remember watching any drama where the FL stayed strong and did not forgive the ML. Maybe coz drama audience want a HE no matter what.
I remember watching a drama where the ML leaves the woman at the altar, humiliates her coz of some stupid misunderstanding and yet the FL easily forgives him later on... so this one was like a breath of fresh air lol
Just curious. Did you finish watching the whole series? I thought the same as you at first, then as it progressed…
I 1st came across c-dramas coz of Untamed, then gradually started watching korean/thai/japanese/chinese. I can't remember the last Hollywood movie I watched lol

na, I didn't want to waste my time as I have too many dramas lined up in my bookmarks. I watch lakorns coz my friend loves them and recommends them to me, but whenever I see weak n stupid FLs or rapist MLs I drop the drama.
I can understand character development, misunderstandings etc but like in this story, not moving on for 7years and then getting together was too much for me... thr have been gud thai dramas that I've come across but they were so few
The start itself put me off and I won't even attempt to finish the 1st episode itself. The ML's loser father cheats on his wife while she is sick, she overdoses and dies horribly. It's obvious that the ML hates the pathetic father but when the dad dies, our hero needs to cry and beg forgiveness.
The comments below too discourage me from wasting my time on this. I can forgive old lakorns for making rapists and cheaters as something normal, romantic but when new dramas do this, I will not watch it no matter which actor is in it. I've read about Thai society and views on rape but I was hoping that dramas from 2022 at least will send a different message to the viewers or maybe their target audience is rapists, cheaters.
So it's not just limited to lakorns but in real life too?
I was already having a slight headache and now reading this is making it worse. When the PM himself equates women with candy, it shows how horrible the situation is...
I feel, instead of banning such scenes they should show the repercussion. Most of the lakorns that I've watched show the FL moves on quite well after rape and eventually falls in love with the rapist. Fans of this genre can't defend such a horrible act by claiming it's just fiction.
I really want to watch coz of NY but it's just ridiculous.
From the synopsis we already know that the ML shuns her for 7 years, we know he has been looking out for her but what the FL knows is that he rejected her. When ML senses a rival, he wants her back.
I'm on ep 3 and all I see is FL declines to be with him, he keeps stalking her, saying he'll make her accept him. Next scene she willingly goes around with him cut to next scene she's again mad at him. It's evident that she's soon going to forgive him. Our amazing FL is already going soft. Her behavior gives confidence to the guy that it'll be quite easy. I wanted to watch a strong FL who won't take crap from anyone but maybe this is what the target audience wanted...
