yknow how when you rewatch a show, you sometimes skip certain parts or fast forward some parts? yeah i'm rewatching wbl after these few years and i'm watching in full. every scene is so worthy and skipless, they really made a masterpiece ;-;
ooh chuang is back C: i might just tune in for some of the judges it's so nice that they got jeff! it'll be great to see ten and nene and i'm sure jackson will bring in a light atmosphere but it would've been nice to see zhou zhen nan again 3 also maybe an INTO1 member can make an appearance
eg in ep3 when do hoon is interacting with the intern at the break room, he kept intentionally breaking their…
the final few episodes did feel a bit rushed. maybe if it were 10 episodes or so it would've made more sense, pacing wise. they tried to include a bit too much angst there. maybe only one of those plot choices would've worked better with the number of episodes they had. rather than the introduction of the ex, they should've stuck with the intern plot instead. i appreciate that they had so many ideas to include but it's really difficult to execute when you're short on time. because doing that runs the risk of the introduced conflict feeling shallow (which it did- the part with the food not meaning much to do hoon) i mean some shows have done well with the multiple conflicts, short time situation but it really can be a shot in the dark when you try that.
it's much stronger in the beginning and felt like they put more effort there. but the show was enjoyable nonetheless.
i'm really enjoying this one. the acting is really nice. i adore the little intricacies sprinkled in. it's so simple but it makes a story so full of life. check reply for an example (edited because i didn't realize it would count as a spoiler, my bad!) i absolutely love unsaid things and roundabout ways of story telling and this show does it really well. the journey to love is really believable. can i also say that they did the dialogues so wonderful and natural! every episode i find new compliments for this show. it's scoring high for me thus far.
(oh i also fell for the trap and i keep imagining yoon soo as k. i fully believe he survived and this is his continuation story. head canon accepted)
this had quite a bit of potential fair acting production was a little flat story line was interesting but the writing was weak at times the romance was difficult to egg on because of the way it was set up and lack of clear development some characters were merely used to set up the plot (for the sake of being spoiler free, one example is the guy in the hat who smirked) if anything, the OST was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, it was my favourite part of this drama
nothing groundbreaking, fairly forgettable but all in all, a watchable drama to pass some time but if you are irked by characters who are just used to drive a plot or ones that lack some basic intelligence, then maybe skip this one
i really had the confidence that i was now immune to second hand embarrassment since i was trained with SCOY but ig i was wrong this show is weirdly endearing so far, i like it c:
