With two episodes left and a million things happening all over, I don’t know how they’re going to give justice to this show. It seems like only Si Yeol had a character growth. Eun Ho’s character is still the same… Epiphanies every now and then, but she still hasn’t fully learned though. And I agree with the previous comments, there are too many fillers. The main essence of the show is lost with everything going on.
Idk something is wrong with this drama. Only keep watching for my Hye yoonie😭
Ooooh! I like your name- kinda hoping for a second season of that one. Hehe! But I agree with you. Watching for Hye Yoon as well. The story isn’t gripping. 😭😭😭

Oh... I'm truly saddened to hear about your brother and his partners break up. Heartbreaking to hear that someones piety to his/her family was taken advantage of.
Hopefully, this extremity is something people slowly veer away from. Being respectful but still with boundaries... But I do get that this is hard to practice. As like in the show, we are shown that asking for independence is somewhat taboo and frowned upon.

The projections in this drama are to the extreme. Especially with how the Mother was portrayed.
Again, I'am not way saying these instances doesn't happen... Maybe it's just not a common practice for most. That's why most viewers here as well are also enraged with this.
With the way youth are today, I can somewhat see that, these things are happening less. Kids nowadays are more vocal and strong-willed.
Also, sorry to hear about how this practice is still common in your family. Glad you were able to somewhat escape it though!

I'm also Asian. While Asians are tightly knitted when it comes to family. The meddling of the mother isn't what I would categorize as normal. It's TOO MUCH.
While yes, SOME Asian mothers are vocal and pushy, I think that the mother in this series is just over the top. She decided to push through an engagement without her daughter's knowledge. Right after that same family belittled them and called them money grabbers. That isn't normal Asian culture. BUT I'm in no way saying this doesn't occur.
Just watched the teaser for Ep 20, I really don’t know how they’ll salvage this show with this kind of mother - daughter relationship. It’s honestly so toxic. And for people saying this is normal in Asian culture. It truly really isn’t.
Exactly. In this age and time, nope.I don't understand how they are under the delusion that they have a "loving…
THIS! Exactly my sentiments! There is toxicness in her that the drama masks as love. But too much of everything is also not good. And she is just too much.
While maybe in Chinese culture the way the mother has been acting is normal… As a viewer, I just find her too much. Too suffocating. There is also a touch of greed in her... I just watched the latest teaser for episode 18 and I just can’t stand her anymore. While I do understand filial piety, I think at this age and generation, that is still too much.
Can anyone explain the deal with Yi Fei? I’ve read some comments that she might have been dead? Can anyone shed light as to what’s her role on the actual novel?
In the last ep they showed Bomi being insecure about her life and instead of showing growth they chose this..…
Exactly! Bo-Mi and her partner was still at that situation wherein they're still trying to figure out what to do with their lives. And now they suddenly made them parents. Only way they could save their storyline is to make it seem like that was a faulty pregnancy test.
Same as you, I feel so frustrated with this episode as well. I mean, the leads have so much chemistry and yet their interactions are too little. Ugh. We got more story out of Sang Jins life than the main leads. My goodness.
Plus that arrow following Jaegyu seems like a Justicia signature avengement thing.
