Maybe the ring is to show that they got married? The parallel universe was unnecessary to have at the end. I think the drama added that to tie it in with their concept of dreams. However, I thought the play they performed at the end was good enough for one to understand why the title is called, "Out of the Dream".

She showed up briefly in one of the episodes that showed Nian Qin's dad. She'll show up more in this week's episodes. She is Nian Qin's step-mom.

In the novel he stays blind throughout but in the drama, it seems like he will get eye surgery.

In some of the posters they released, they showed the person the characters are linked to (maybe even end up with) in their eyes, for Dr. Zhang, it had Xiao Jun's mom.

Both characters are based off real people and if the drama follows Chinese history, she will be killed by General Li Jing.

They released posters today and there are some BTS of Chen Zhe Yuan in his uniform floating around; so, I'm assuming they have started filming.

In the character chart that they released on Weibo, it says that he ends up liking someone named LiSha, she has not appeared in the drama yet.
