I love this drama. I think that one of them is going to die. I think that because the way they have been getting close and next thing you see is one of them is leaving.
I agree with you. What is it about Chinese dramas, where most of the time the ML is a piece of crap arrogant, demening to women, yank the around, rich person. The FL is a mumbling, weak minded, get yanked around and does nothing, don't have a lot of money female. At the end to ML says sorry I love you and they get together.This is 2023don't the Chinese Wroters and Producers know that?
I agree with you about Female abuse, ie sexual harassment. It's typical in Chinese so called romance dramas. Usually the ML is an arrogant, self absord, egotistical, grab female by throat and yank them around with no adverse reaction. The FL usually is a mumbling, weak mind, need a man to take care of her. Usually she allows the male to yank her around, pet her on the head like a dog or grab her throat and she doess nothing. Then in the middle or towards the end of the drame the ML becomes nice, she accepts his apology and the get together.
I guess you are into Rich spoiled, demeaning, yank her around and nothing happens to him vs poor female, weak, minded will not stand up for herself dramas. I guess you call that romance.

You are wrong on so many counts. The main one is that: They are 5 different woman, with 5 different mannerisms. They go through ups and downs. They hate and love. They stick together. While I agree that the love interest between Ye Zhen Zhen and Huang Dai Wei doesn't work, the rest of the series is good.
I loved Part 3. The only thing I hope is that the Producers do manufacture a love connect between Ye Zhen Zhen and Huang Dai Wei. I only saw friendship chemistry between the two not a love connection; that chemistry. I hope Fang Zhi Heng wins out against Li.

You are right to rant. Usually for some reason these Chinese Writers and Producers have 1.) A rich or Bad Boy that demeans females, pets them on the head or grab there wrist. They also appear to be smug and no-one does anything to them. Towards the end of the Series they have a new lease on life, say they are sorry and they get the woman. 2.) the female is portrayed as a weak minded, mumbling, enabler and allows the ML to treat them like dirt, because they are love struck. Of course you have the wrist grab, or a trip and just happened to fall on the ML or mistakenly kiss the ML.
It's the way Chinese write their Romantic Dramas: Rich or Bad Boy demeans, boss around, pat FL on head like a dog, The females are portrayed as weak, mindless, low self esteem and you can do anything to me.
I agree with you on the submissive part. I think in this story line Han is unlikable. Too many folks just like him because of his looks. I would like for the Writers/Producers allow the women to be strong willed and not weak minded and submissive. You and I know if a person gets in your face you get a strong negative reaction. Not in these series, the woman always backs down.
This Series is a Train wreck. Yuan, at least she is making an effort. Gu is turning out to be a gold digging, step wherever to be successful. The Male actors are shallow, but at least they don't demean the females. Gu is dating a guy that has to look at his watch to see if he has time for them. WOW!? Really!? This series is about 16 episodes too long.
