I have only seen Joy of Life from the dramas you have listed. It's so awesome and like Fan Xian as well. I like how he does what he thinks is right, even though it's not conventional. He also values friendship.

hmmm. These aspects are also why I like Wei Wu Xian, my favourite character in the Untamed.

The Yanxi Palace is harem heavy, but the story of minglan isn't. I love the story of minglan. it's my second favourite drama, after Joy of Life.

I don't like the romance. But it's not romance heavy, which I appreciated. I liked the other females, rather than the FL. lol. It's more about the ML and his growth rather than the romance.

that's why i'm voting for him... there's a few in the 40s that i really like and wish they were higher.

hahah that's the one thing I don't watch is the beginning, because they're full of spoilers. lol. They basically tell the whole story in the intro of cdramas.

With kdramas, I sometimes drop them around ep. 13 because at that point, it gets angsty and there's usually a noble idiot. I love journey for the romance more than the romance itself. Usually around ep. 13 a new drama comes out, which sounds interesting.

This was before... I learned how to speed my videos. This tool is invaluable to me, so I'm finding myself dropping less dramas than before. There's usually 3-4 episodes that drag.

I'm new to cdramas... I have dropped dramas before. Usually it's because I realize it's not for me. it's usually at the beginning of the drama though (first half)

I've just became a fan of Zhou Shen because of his angelic voice and his personality in "our song" so I checked this out. It is heartbreaking to see him so disappointed, but I teared up when they kept encouraging him. I thought he seemed so nervous when he sang "Think of Me" then I found this wonderful clip on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b71kBaJIbk :) He has improved! This shows that he didn't give up and kept trying. I really like his attitude. I also like the fact he wasn't the most talented performer, but he tries very hard.

I'm in love with his voice. I've watched him in Our Song S2 and now Super Vocal. He just has that voice that melts me... I hope he becomes more active. He is such a great singer.

It was a rule that no one explained. I don't think it was up to Zhou Zhennan to let whoever go there first. It was funny to watch Mika and Keyu shoot hoops. I'm sure Mika will do fine in whatever group he is at. He'd probably get the spotlight in his group.

I love Flower of Evil. It's currently my favourite kdrama. I'm a fan of Lee Junki. haha. I've been watching kdramas for a very long time and started to get into cdramas last year. I mostly watched cdramas last year and the few exception was Flower of Evil.

There are a few more kdramas on my list but my viki subbed just ended so now I'm just enjoying cdramas (because they're free legally as well and I'm in the c-ent mood).

haha Yibo in GYH got me into the Untamed. lol. I went the other way. I was in esport mood after watching The King's Avatar and watched it. Then I started YouTubing Yibo and the Untamed kept popping up. hehe

Cool! thanks for your review. I think it's interesting to read, especially since you're also a screenwriter. I really liked Joy of Life, which was a previous work of his, and this felt different (it's a total different genre). I didn't find it that terrible, but I understand what you mean.
