Fantastic scene and good to see that they had fun while shooting such intense scenes. Off camera he is so funny and chatty but when the camera rolls that's it! He becomes the character! Kudos to Miles for his ability to do this 🙏🫶💪

Want to add a couple of scenes showing this transition - When Mudan pretends to fall down and stalls LC carriage to buy time for JCY and asks him for help, he is totally aware that it is not her true intention. But he doesn't rush! He helps her and speaks slowly. His dialogue " It's rare for you to take the initiative to come and find me, no matter what, I am willing to stay with you for the moment" and then drops her at her residence and gets the guards to surround it 😂 I also liked the scene where when his plan to frame JCY fails and Prince Ning gets angry and breaks his tea cup he actually kneels on the broken cup piece and asks for forgiveness and another chance. Look at his expressions here carefully- he is planning something! Contrast this with his expressions in the scene in S1 where he refuses to accept Ning's offer to marry the Princess and gets beaten and his legs broken. This contrast in acting is commendable! S2 is going good. However I felt that Shen Yi brother plot was not necessary. It would have done good for the drama if they had shown some more scenes of LC transitioning from a pedantic scholar to a corrupt official! Or even some scenes of His Majesty and his background..
