Im on ep7 and I have to give the emperor some brownie points (though, idk how he is in the later eps) because he seems to be genuinely listening, talking/discussing, and interacting with his ministers/officials
unlike how in some other historicals/gu zhuang dramas where the emperor doesn't do that (they just gave a command/order or a decree) and that's about it
I just wish someone else (HE)would have gotten that same ending. Watching eps 35-37 in their entirety makes me…
ah oh XD I had skimmed/fast forwarded towards that yesterday and for me, imo it seemed to be the perfect ending for him as he wanted power and position (as well as to hold onto it) more than the void emperor also having him live and wallow in his pain for the rest of his life seems perfect (and him having to hear people talk sh*t about him/about his mistakes since he cares so much about his reputation and what ppl think whatnot)
death would be too easy XD even his "redemption arc" seemed half hearted/half as*ed to me
Im glad the void emperor and empress got the ending they deserved (and what happened made sense because yeah the void emperor definitely never truly cared for chao feng and his mother)
nah sir you should be executed :) you are violating things too :)
