I'm tired of hearing how this has ruined the History franchise. Some of the early History series were just junk,…
I’ll watch 6 for sure. Just in hopes that they redeem themselves.

1 was clunky but it was the first season. 2 was good enough for a sophomore outing. Both in 3 were fantastic except for the older guy and high schooler coupling. As a gay man I hated that he was like, “I’m such a loser who can’t find love. I’ll settle for an obsessive high schooler instead”

4 was so problematic when it came to the brothers. Sexual assault, raised together.

The only character I like on 5 is Hai Yi because he’s the only one that’s shown growth.

To answer your first question, no, you don't have to since each installment serves as a stand alone for the most…
Definitely do NOT start with this season.

All the other seasons, including the fairly clunky first season were way better

i couldn't finish it. is a consensual, healthy relationship really too much to ask for? why is abuse and assault…
Because the majority of BL is written by straight cis women who fantasize that this is the only way that men can be intimate and that those barriers have to be forced down.

Thankfully now that the genre is more established, there are people writing real love stories that don’t have this component.

I really enjoyed these two movies. I also love when they include an epilogue so there aren’t any loose threads for people to theorize about.

I know that a lot of people like to do that, but I consider their story complete unless they do a slice of life story with them and with Aam all grown up.

These two movies together are in maybe my top 15 favorite gay-themed flicks. I don't call it a "BL" because that's…
I just finished watching it. Regarding Oat’s wife, I don’t think it was too sudden. They were deliberate about making it known that she knew something wasn’t entirely right. The way he never smiled the way he did with Toey, a general sense that he wasn’t as happy as he should be, but also that it was a shotgun wedding. So when the pieces came together, she was ready to accept that they love each other, just in a platonic way. I think that when she realized what was happening between Toey and Oat, she realized that as someone who deeply loves her, and someone that deeply loves her back and wants to be a father to their child that it was OK and it would have happened even if she wasn’t there.

I love the director's cut more than the original series. The scenes added in the end completed the whole story.…
Read the manga! There are a few more scenes between ages 40-82 that are really great. And you get to learn a little more about Yuuki’s career.
Bummer.

I just rewatched the version that premiered today and it’s the same Director’s Cut that has already been released in Japan. What Viki and Gagaoolala has been marketing is just that it’s the international release.

I was hoping it WAS different than the one I had already seen though. The DC includes additional scenes from the manga, an extended scene with the whole family, etc.

But there were even more additional scenes from the manga that I was hoping they would have included that showed their lives between ages 40 and 82 that were really sweet.

The manga version of the last scene also is slightly different and gives more info about Yuuki’s career. It really rounded out how talented he was and that he was able to accomplish so much despite feeling lost when he was younger. So it’s a shame that this wasn’t a new extended cut of the Director’s Cut. I thought the refrigerator scene from the manga was hilarious and really wanted to see them play it out live.

Well, you know how the first book ends. You mentioned it earlier.

But the second book does have a happy ending. That’s all I’ll say. Definitely read them.

Author of the original novel confirmed 2nd season shooting in mid-2019 but as long as I know there hasn't been…
I heard it wasn’t the same story. She said it was a new one. It’ll still be branded Addicted but probably like how HIStory is an anthology.

I don't know about their social media. There are a bunch of groups dedicated to the show on Facebook though. You can check there to see if anyone knows how to reach them or send fan messages.

Hey there. Those were done before the ban. The end of the first season coincided with the China's ban on explicit (kissing, explicitly gay storylines, etc., depictions of sexual intimacy) LGBT content by national studios. Some smaller studios were able to keep doing things based on the level of reach they had.

Since the ban, they can't appear together. Apparently at one point early on they would be at the same event but were forced to be on opposite sides of the venue, had huge spaces in between them, etc.

Johnny, as far as we know, is straight and was previously married to a woman. Timmy has been romantically linked with women but they have mostly been rumors. A lot of the fan pages keep putting forth theories that they're together in real life but it's mostly fan fantasies, sadly.

Unfortunately, those lost episodes seem to be an urban legend borne from the three episodes that weren't previously released. And there was quite a bit to cover in the books before that scene you referenced that would have easily been more than three episodes. Even the official FB page has told me that the episodes don't exist.

Regarding reading the books, do you have a Kindle or another reader? Here are links to the two books in PDF form:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Bh7Dgx-vbox1TeTnyqGb_7EEfkyrxS5p/view

You can convert them into the correct file format using a free software called Calibre and then send them to your reader either using your reader's dedicated email address or by connecting your reader to your laptop. I read them both on my Kindle and it was far preferable to clicking through each chapter on my laptop.

Also, I thought is was adorable that they got married and Yuuki's name changed to Ito. I loved it.
I wanted to see the additional scenes and years they included in the manga! They were so wonderful and painted an even more complete picture of their love. Some pretty funny scenes too!
