Yeah, I think I recall there was time when 3 dramas aired on Netflix at the same time, so not impossible, but…
I think it’s been a few years since Netflix simulcast 3 dramas ay the same time. So, pretty unlikely but not impossible. Probably either Disney+ or Viki for global OTT, it’s a toss up because both platforms have been picking up SBS Fri-Sat dramas recently. Unfortunately, Viki lost its licensing deal with Kocowa (at least, in the USA), so if it simulcast on Kocowa, it would be Kocowa only. Personally, I will hope Viki gets the licensing rights but who knows what will happen yet.
So, the ott situation for this is a little peculiar. Both NamuWiki and What’s on Netflix both think that Netflix will have the streaming rights. As much as I would like to believe this information, the problem is that Netflix already will already have two currently airing dramas at the time of this show’s release: We Are All Trying Here and Sold Out on You. I cannot recall a time in the past few years that Netflix has licensed three currently airing dramas at the same time. This is in addition to the problem someone mentioned earlier about how unlikely it is Netflix would air two SBS dramas at the same time. I hope I am wrong and Netflix will be the OTT (not Disney+), but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Netflix makes an official announcement next month.
There is a chance this *might* be on Netflix, but this has not been officially confirmed (see links below). If this is true, I am hoping they will not region lock this drama because I have been looking forward to it for some time now.
Namuwiki does show Netflix as the OTT for this drama. However, Prime usually gets TvN’s Mon/Tues dramas (Marry My Husband, No Gain No Love, The Divorce Insurance, and Head Over Heels). It would be an interesting break in pattern for sure - potentially 4 ongoing dramas airing on Netflix in August (The Winning Try (confirmed), Beyond the Bar (confirmed), Love, Take Two (rumored, not yet confirmed), and Bon Appetit, Your Majesty (rumored, not yet confirmed)).
Update for all of us in the USA who want to watch legally: Hulu has added this to its library for upcoming, episodes 1 and 2 scheduled for delayed release on Wednesday (7/23) at 2:00am!
According to the Netflix K-content YouTube page, I believe the official English title for this is “The Winning Try.” I think one of the moderators on MDL should change the title.
Out of curiosity, where did you get this information? Someone else mentioned it would come to Netflix USA on December…
No, I'm fairly certain they mean LA= Latin America. Unfortunately, I now understand the only way to watch this show in the US is through Kocowa. I'm tired of paying for multiple subscriptions to watch like 1 or 2 shows so I guess it was a sign I didn't need to watch this drama...oh well.
Update: This will come to Netflix LA on December 9.
Out of curiosity, where did you get this information? Someone else mentioned it would come to Netflix USA on December 9th as well but I can't find anything confirming that and Netflix claims to not have it when I search for it...
