Is there a season 2? How are they gonna cover all 7 omens in 32 eps?
I think there will be 6 cases covered by this show, I was looking through the cast list and the guest actors all have the case names next to their character's names. Maybe there are two relics bundled into one case? Although given how long they are spending on the Fishing Line Doll case, I'm also questioning how they will go through all 6 cases in 32 episodes!
On episode 2 and I'm really enjoying this show so far. The story is intriguing, and the cinematography is atmospheric and well done. The only nitpick I have is that the fight scenes feel anemic, which is a shame given how well choreographed they are. It just feels like they are practicing tai-chi as oppose to fighting, there's just no force behind their fights.
SWL is gorgeous as always - this is my first modern drama of his and he is smoldering here. This is my first show with LHC, she seems good so far, no complaints here. I just hope they have chemistry together!! Finally, ARP 's character is a funny and pleasant surprise.
Fingers cross that the plot doesn't go off the rails and this one stays good for the remainder of the series!
that's a baby dog and it's new whole place, this proves you never had a dog because i do same
I have a dog that I raised as a puppy. I potty trained him. There’s no reason to make this personal. It’s rather immature to assume things about online strangers you never met without any evidence and based on a single comment.
Wow. episode 8 blew my mind, the acting, design and production were so immersive. What a twisty and ensnaring take on a timeworn doubleganger trope. The main actress for this episode was riveting to watch. I never heard of her before - CiCi Wang (Wang Zi Xuan). I didn't realize at the start that she played both women - she was devilish and haughty as Liu Ming, frigid cold and jealous; and she was innocent and eager as Xiao You, turning desperate and tortured as she slowly crumbled apart as the episode unraveled. Wow. 10/10.
The 3 year anniversary episode was bittersweet without Lao Qin, especially when they were reminiscing about their most memorable moments on the show. It's so sad to see DiDi without his partner in crime.
I'm so happy for the ML and FL happy ending 🥰 but I'm so disappointed about Qimin and the princess😢. I hoped…
Agreed! I took it extra hard because Qimin's voice actor also dubbed Song Mo in Blossom, and it sounded like my beloved Song Mo was dying!
I'm also annoyed at the poor writing around the Yannan Emperor who was really against the ML and FL's relationship just long enough for Qimin to die, and then was suddenly okay with it all. Basically, Qimin's death felt really pointless.
He’s not toxic… they both just misunderstood each other for a few early episodes
I had to stop watching at the kidnapping part, when the MLs teaching were teaching the FLs a "lesson in obedience." I usually don't take these dramas seriously, but that part pissed me off so much.
The Wheel/Time God said the world is "fake", bc of how Destiny got involved and changed things correct??? Or what…
So I only read the last chapter and epilogue of the novel because I wanted to see if this was a HE or SE. But from what I did read, the demons in the present timeline/world were actually the divine race that had fallen after they sealed Zhao Ming, which is a huge twist from the present narrative that all the divine race disappeared and the demons need to be eradicated or sealed away because they are evil.
NXY mentions he can get him what he wants, which is to ascend the 'Celestial Ladder.' Is he after immortality?Originally…
I think removing the barrier was SQ's motivation. When they were looking for the lotus seed to cure MXL, QGJ (the guy that became a shadow) mentioned there was another person who gained immortality thousands of years ago by sacrificing people or something like that. I suspect he was talking about the pavilion guy. No clue about his motivation though.

Just started episode 9, oh my heart.
