The gradual escalation—from soft tension to intense moments, followed by quieter interludes, to fits and then the blow up —creates a mesmerizing rhythm.

The whole atmosphere of that scene. The way he handled the tea and spoke business at the same time was graceful to watch. He was respectful and gave him one last chance, yet his message was firm and to the point, and when Zhu backed HT into a corner, HT executed him. Even though he knew the devastation to human lives, he is decisive and unwavering. JX being nearby and can overhear them makes the scene even more tantalizing. Then HT, in one moment was a ruthless killer, the next moment he gets up and spoke gently to JX to go have lunch. Has the feel of a Mafia scene.
