If JX did not accept YC's money for her startup, then why did she still name it XingChen?
YC keeps saying he's her biggest supporter, yet he doesn't really want her to do the start up. He was actually sad to hear about it. I didn't understand their conversation when he told her to think about their future and then he said, "maybe you have some other ideas?" I thought he was telling her to change her mind and focus on them instead of work. But she just smiled so I didn't know if JX understood what he was saying. Since JX knows YC is not supportive of her dream, why did it not affect her relationship with him?

HT thought he had everything under his control, but JX declines his offer. HT thought reminding her to return to her original goal would lead her to accept his offer but instead it led her to start up a company. Actually, HT's offer for her to work with Dr. Jiang who is in charge of the AI database Dr. Cloud. is an excellent opportunity and more interesting work than 3D printing.

Top drama of the week. There are two categories. Top Chinese Web drama and Top Chinese TV drama. ABAY and LYFS2 are both in the latter category and ABAY came up on top for last week.

Last Thursday, Marcus said it would be very close, but he still picked LYFS2 to be champion. So, the points are low for both dramas, but ABAY came out ahead to be champion top TV drama with only 525 points versus LYFS2 510 points. I wonder why the points nosedive for both dramas last week. The last few days is the slowest view count for ABAY. Could it have to do with the Olympics? The Tale of Rose is still #3 after two months.

HT is an important figure in the industry. He has many enemies too. He doesn't want rumors to spread.

The actor who plays Chang He was in the first ep. of Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty but he got killed off pretty fast.

The recent Maoyan charts are showing ABAY dropping though as new dramas are coming out. I hope ABAY can reach 2B soon. Summer Olympics runs through Aug. 12.

I can't take any reviews seriously that give this drama a score below a 7 for acting, even below an 8 seems ridiculous when compared to similar types of dramas.

ABAY reaching 1.9B in a month from 7/2 to 8/1 exceeded a lot of other hot dramas. Blossoms in Adversity is one of the biggest hits in 2024 and it reached 1.468B in a month from 4/2 to 5/3. The Double another huge hit reached 1.5B in a month from 6/2 to 7/3.
JOL S2 possibly the hottest drama of 2024 reached 1.2B in 14 days from 5/16 to 5/29. It took ABAY 18 days from 7/2 to 7/19 to reach 1.2B which is only 4 days more. But BIA and JOL has continued to cumulate billions more in views. Another hot drama is Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty and it reached 1B in 17 days from 7/18 to 8/3 but its schedule is one week faster and has 43 episodes. Will ABAY be able to continue to accumulate billions more views before the end of 2024?

I think it's hard to read HT and he can be intimidating, plus she's really focused on her work.

I'm rewatching ABAY slowly. So glad JX quit her job. Her boss is a total jerk making her do all the brain work so he can get credit. Office gossips and no one supported her. She put much with so much unfair treatment just so she can get a bonus to pay for a flat with Yichen. The big boss ZD is a jerk too. They play politics, dump on her, and piled on her. It's interesting to go back to the earlier episodes and see how much she has changed. Back then the way they intimidated her, and she is so helpless. What an amazing journey she had in this story.

In his recent interviews, XK says he has no plans to play CEO again. He says he wants to change field. Not sure what he means by "real estate agent". Actors risk getting typecast if they play the same roles. XK just happened to have two CEO back-to-back. The producers of BCE sought him out specifically for the ml because they said they saw something in his portrayal of Yang Hua in SHPH that they liked for BCE; however, his portrayal of the ruthless side of YZM exceeded their expectations and they praised him.

Somehow, I don't see JX as being afraid of anyone. She's always been cautious of HT and only wants to focus on her startup. But it shows that HT has never been bothered by mixing business with personal relationships. As I rewatch earlier episodes, I'm reminded of what a lovely person JX is. She wants to help people have access to medical technology that can give them a better quality of life. It troubles me that viewers try to define her as a bad character. She's more than that.
