MCH can continue to manage the hotel, but she won't' have the financial stress. Hopefully, she can maintain majority ownership in the hotel. YZM finds meaning in his life but no longer climb the power ladder, grandma's hotel will thrive, and MCH still have her career and cash the merger brings. It probably ends with she and YZM are a loving couple committed to each other but no wedding. The success of Xing'anli merger would get YZM promotion but he will not take them. Zhang's daughter probably has an impact on her mother to stop sabotaging YZM, because she is fond of both YZM and MCH. Zhang's daughter is a travel blogger with lot of followers, perhaps her influence will bring lot of customers to the hotel and solve the financial issues? Somehow, I think there will be a merger anyway. The hotel is over 100 yrs old and costly to maintain and compete.

Yang Hua mannerisms are completely different than YZM. When I first watched Yang Hua, the first thing I noticed was his mannerisms. The way he walked, sit, stand, is more relaxed and has a nerdy gait, he always putting his hands in his coat pockets in a sort of charming clumsy particular way. He reminded me of a nerd which the character is.

this scene revealed to me that mother daughter relationship has never been intimate since neither understand each other. She is almost 30 yrs. old having lived in a small home with her family all her life yet they've never really talked about the mother's life growing up. This is not uncommon because Chinese parents are reserved, but I found it interesting this relationship seemed so intimate on the surface, but she didn't' really know her mother that well. I guess it's natural when parents are critical, it will push kids away, they won't tell the parents things, and then talk less to the parents.

YZM father abandoned his mother, basically he fled when the business failed and later the mother died in a car accident. When the situation was dire, the grandmother had flown back personally to give YZM's mother cash to pay off the creditors, so they stop chasing them, perhaps YZM spent his remaining years in boarding school which is typical going abroad, but since Zhang's daughter said she grew up with YZM, he got help from Zhang "in his lowest moment of his life". Who knows what happened to him, but for whatever reason, grandmother could not provide him a home, only provide financial assistance. YZM had told MCH that for a long time, he resented his grandma for not helping his family sooner or straighten out her son (his father), so it may be that after his mother died, grandmother asked him to return and he didn't' want to, so she let him be, and may not have told his grandma about his difficulties. That was her regret in life, and she only cried for YZM in her funeral video so it means she had regrets and pain all those years worrying about him like a "stray cat", and she wanted to make it up to him, so she decided not to give him the hotel, so he can seek more meaningful life. Her decision was meant to make up for regrets by helping him seek a meaningful life. It was done out of love for him to help him. Grandma had her reasons too for giving hotel to MCH.

well, it's my own narrow perspective having witnessed a few difficult Chinese parents' children's relationships. Most kids don't know their parent's past struggles because good parents don't want to complain to their kids. Everyone is on MCH side, so I just thinking of the mom too.
Early in the drama, MCH was an obedient daughter and try to please her mother and was even understanding of her but now in these later episodes, it's evident that the daughter doesn't' really know that much about her mom because mother didn't tell her about her own growing up struggles and pain and seems like MCH never probed. MCH was much closer to her grandmother than to her mom.

some parents for some reason, don't want to tell their kids their hardships, they really should,
most parents just give everything to their kids and hope they live well, and kids not knowing their parent's own sufferings, makes it easier for them to neglect their parents as they become independent, busy, and living their own lives. if they had known, perhaps they would have been less selfish. If kids talk to their parents more, they might actually learn a lot about them.
